Horrific. I ordered a wine fridge for my parents for Christmas and the only positive thing is that it came in on time. It took several days for the order to be processed, which I understand because of the busy holiday season, but the almost two hundred dollar fridge was very very poorly packaged and not protected which, of course, resulted in several severe breaks rendering the product useless. Literally, the box was torn up, there was a plastic wrap covering the fridge but that is about it - no styrofoam, no peanuts. The door was broken off and the glass front was of course broken.  We returned our item and will never buy from this vendor again. We ordered a new fridge from WalMart and even though it was more expensive, I did not have to put up with the hassle of getting a wine fridge and all its broken components in and out of my living room.

I have always had a very pleaing experience shopping with J&R.com and with their telephone sales.  They have always had the items in stock, their prices were always better than their competitors and would match or beat competitors prices, and the shipping was always fast.  The sales people are always courteous and knowledgeable and the customer service representatives are pleasant to deal with also.

I was pleased with the fact that I was able to return the MP3 product that did not perform well for a different brand MP3 player that works much better. As a matter of fact, the replacement order arrived much sooner that the original order. Customer service was most helpful by sending me an e-mail which allowed me to track my order to my destination.
J&R seems to be one of the more complete websites to choose from where I can make my electronic purchases. Not too long ago, J&R was still one of the better places for me to buy my cassette players and accessories.

I had researched for a while on what product I wanted. When I called to order Rob was very helpful. He told me about the xchange card. He also told me about the extra memory card I could purchase for only $10.99. He checked to make sure the camera I was buying would be compatible with a MAC. He was kind an courteous. Second purchase from J&R Music and Computer World Online Store. They have a good selection of brand and models to choose from as well as affordable extended warranties. They offer on line video product reviews and product descriptions for many of the products they sell.They have competitive pricing with both of my orders there price was equal to the lowest price I found at any other web site and better than most.Together with fast shipping free with many items make them a better value.Fast e-mail order conformations fallowed up by tracking number link. The web site is easy to use with suggestions of available options and accessories for the product / products your shopping for.You can see if the product you want is in stock.When you place an ordered checkout is fast and easy with several options on how to pay.your items are well packaged to prevent damage.Wile they may not have every thing most of what they do are a good buy. I WISH WE HAD A RETAIL STORE WERE I LIVE.

I take all my photos in "Raw" which means large photo files.
I needed a bigger SD memory card and had been looking for about a little over a month when I saw the Lexar 16GB 60X card for under $20. I couldn't believe the great deal. I moved quickly but not quick enough-J&R was sold out, so, I ordered it on back order. The usual automated email followed, showing my options for other memory cards, that time for filling backorders could takes weeks, however my card would not be charged until the order was filled. When my order did ship, they informed me as well, so I knew when to expect it and could keep an eye out for the package.

My Over all experience in dealing with J & R Computer World was positive . I paid with a check and at first they were slow to realize that my check had cleared the bank and then when I faxed them a copy of the cleared check they sent my computer out the next day . I like how my Sales Rep gave me his extension number to reach him direct .My sales rep( Alex )was GREAT and matched a price on the same computer I had seen online and I was very happy about that !

Everything went fine, no problems, item shipped promptly (MSI GX620-001US laptop.)  Price was listed as $750 with $50 rebate.  Bought in August, still waiting for rebate!  :(  Not J & R's fault though.

I ordered a computer from J&R while deployed to Iraq almost a year ago.  The computer never showed up and their customer service department keeps running me around with policy changes for their insurance claims.  If this was the last electronics store on the planet I would still recommend against shopping there.

They helped me out with the return of an opened laser cartridge I purchased in error, even though the seal was broken. I would have been out $140 but I was able to use that to purchase the correct cartridges.

I had purchased a Optoma projector from another online company but had terrible service. They confirmed the order but from that point on everything went downhill. They promised me the projector by the end of the week but I never received it even after 3 follow phone calls during the week.  Empty promises. They even sent me an email that it was shipped but never provided a tracking number. Deception. It was never shipped because it was on backorder. I cancelled the order.

J&R is complete different. I order the projector over the phone on a Monday. That evening I received a tracking number and I receive the projector 2 days later - as promised!!! I paid just a little bit more but it was well worth it. I was completed satisfied with their service and would highly recommend them.

I've been shopping with J&R for close to 2 decades for business as well as personal purchases and rarely have problems with them. Delivery speed is excellent as well as the accuracy of the online tracking. Customer Service is wonderful and do their best to resolve problems when they happen which is only occasionally. I recommend J&R to all my friends and co-workers. When I want something right away, I look on their site first before I shop around, and most of the time I return to purchase what I want. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give J&R a high 5!
