Smooth CS dealings but poor shipping practices.

This is a delayed review...I didn't realize specific sellers could be reviewed. (The following are notes from my experience with this seller.) This involves an order placed 12-07.

Online sites vary so before learning the hard way, I verify item availability and dpending on ease, will go online or have the order taken over the phone. My call was answered quickly and item was in stock. The gal relayed it would be no problem to take my order. Very smooth and I was pleased.

A tracking number was sent e-mail and I watched the progress as it made it to So. Cal. UPS delivered it on time. Unfortunately, the item was shipped in it's original packaging which is not "shipping" approved. The item was damaged by the time it reached me. Called Instawares and relayed the damage. As well I sent pictures e-mail to the customer service dept. They issued a return call and UPS was back next day. The driver even relayed to me, "this should have been double boxed but they do the best they can."  You know UPS right. ;)

The package had not arrived but they issued a cross shipment of the item. Again, the shipping dept sent it out raw and again, it was damaged. Another call...they'll send a note to the shipping dept about better packing for the replacement. I told them specifically, "double box it." This call center was off shore but due to the multiple issues it was transferred stateside for the finalizing.

Looking at UPS tracking for this third shipment, it showed item returned to shipper. I called back and was connected to the off shore rep who then transferred me stateside. The gal told me this time, they got back an empty box. She apologized for my hassels. After three attempts, they were now out of stock so I asked for a refund.
She relayed it would be processed in about 2 weeks and it will show up on my card for the next statement.

Dealing with the company through all this was smooth and they came through as promised. Sadly, I was without product so it used up 3 weeks.

I was goign to give them another shot when I read the reviews here. I opted not to and in addition, finding a phone number on the website is challenging.
