I ordered a large stock pot for ~$130 on March 9, 2007. They charged my card almost immediately. However, I never received any sort of email confirmation of my order...nor did I ever receive the stock pot.

When I ordered, my item was listed as shipping in 5-10 business days (the site now says 15-20 for that same pot, even though I KNOW it's out of stock and they have no clue when it's coming in -- they just told me that today, April 17).

So, 3 weeks after placing my order and hearing nothing at all from them, I called to see what was going on with my order. The guy on the phone said the stock pots were actually on backorder and that they were expecting them within the week. Ok, I waited. However, nothing ever happened.

Then about two weeks later, someone from Instawares called me and left a message saying they had no clue when the stock pot would be in and asked if I still want to keep my order. So today (April 17), I called back, they still didn't have the pot in and they declined to give me an almost identical pot that cost a few dollars more for the same price, so I asked for a refund.

A week went by and they never posted my refund. It's now April 30th. I've filed a claim with my bank and they were nice enough to get me a provisional credit back on my account and try to collect the money from Instawares themselves. So far, they've not been able to do so. I was filling out the claim form for the bank today and wanted to get my Instawares order# to put on the form. I never got this info from Instawares, so I called them. Now, I was told they have no record of my order, nor any record of me ever having ordered from them! Unbelievable! They had a record of it a couple weeks ago. It seems like after I filed the claim with my bank and reported them to their local Better Business Bureau, they conveniently deleted all trace of my order. This company is sure pushing the boundaries of what is legal and illegal.

I would never do business with this company again and I suggest you don't either. They are crooks...or something very close to it.

This company does not tell you that an item is out of stock when you order it! They'll let you order, charge your card and let you wait...and just maybe you'll recieve what you ordered. I've since spoken with another person who happened to order from Instawares and had a similar situation as mine. It took him 3 months to get his money back from this company.

They had 308 complaints filed against them in the last 36 months (as of Apr 17, 2007). To 103 of those complaints filed, Instawares never even responded (are we seeing a pattern?). The BBB gives them an "Unsatisfactory" record and shows that complaints have been filed in just about every category: advertising, billing, sales practices, delivery, service, product issues, refunds and exchanges....

Terrible! You've been warned!
