Recently, I was interested in getting a customized licensed NHL jersey as a gift. I came across IceJerseys.com several times in previous searches, and decided to see what they had available and how much it would cost to get this jersey done.

Based in Quebec, Canada, IceJerseys.com has a large and interesting variety of hockey jerseys, from those of NHL teams, to international teams, and even jerseys based on NASCAR. Their website is pleasant, well designed and very easy to navigate. Prices are viewable in U.S. or Canadian currency.

After I chose the NHL jersey I was interested in, the site gave several customization options - allowing me to put a name on the back of the jersey, and numbers on the back and shoulders. They also offer the option of putting a "C" or "A" on the front, to indicate "Captain" or "Alternate Captain". Of particular interest to me was the site's ability to allow the customer to preview the custom jersey, so I could see what the jersey would look like before I paid for it.

The order process was simple and easy to follow. The site also not only advises as to when the jersey will ship, but also at what process the jersey is in when they are customizing it - which was nice to know. The price I paid for the jersey and customization was cheaper than any other site I could find.

It seems to me that IceJerseys.com does the customizing work themselves, and therefore they are able to control the quality and efficiency of their order process (many other sites subcontract this work). While I live in the U.S., I still received the jersey by the date promised, and exactly as designed. From website to my door, the process took about three weeks - which was a great turnaround for a custom jersey order.

I received the jersey in a clean and excellent condition. The design was accurate and exactly as I had expected. Further, as a nice gesture, the company included a coupon for a subsequent purchase from them, of which I will also take advantage.

The only criticism I have is that the jersey was packed in only a thin plastic bag and shipped in a plastic envelope - and while this jersey was not affected, there isn't much protection against shipping damages. However, the site does offer a reasonable exchange policy on damaged goods.

In summary, IceJerseys.com is highly recommended if you are shopping for a hockey jersey. The service is great, product quality is excellent, and as such they will get me back as a return customer.
