For the most part Horchow has a nice website that is easy to navigate. They have a pretty good selection and ship within a good timeframe. Most of the items are as they are displayed however I have encountered color disparities at times.

It would be helpful if Horchow furniture was compared with other furniture manufacturers' quality of constuction. More detailed description of wood used and contruction of furniture would be helpful. Since this information was not provided, I have to rely on the reputation of Neman Marcus for qualify of the furniture items ordered. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I ordered online Jan. 18. Item was in stock. Tried twice to check online to follow up on order but only found the order itself. Perhaps I didn't look in the right place?? I haven't checked for a couple days. Anyway order hasn't arrived, and I've heard no follow-up from Horchow about it. I wouldn't consider it delayed at this point, but I would think it should have been shipped. Love looking at Horchow items online and previously in catalogs--which I won't now pay for. Like the organization of their online catalog. The more description per item, the better. Previously I'd ordered from Horchow a couple times but many years ago.

Items ordered still in transit at this time, so I can't answer as to the condition the items were in when received. I answered no, to indicate "not received".. On other orders, it's been not uncommon for deliveries to be late.

The bar stools were in huge boxes and were left on my doorstep a day before I was to go on vacation! (No call ahead of time to tell me they's be there!)Luckily I had not left yet, as they would have been covered in 33" of snow from the blizzard of '05. They arrived via Fed Ex and as I am nearing 70 I had to call a neighbor to help me lift them into the house. It would have been nice had they been delivered in the same manner as the earlier shipment of my table and chairs. The deliverymen brought them in my house and placed them in the dining room.

I enjoy shopping at Horchow. The items are unusual, not seen in local interior design shops. The quality of the items are first rate and pricing is reasonable (less than local interior design shops). Special orders are extra special, because they are delivered as promised. Large items (special ordered) are delivered by a professional company and carefully placed in my home. I've shopped at Horchow (and Neiman Marcus - home) for many years...I'm running out of space! Maybe a larger home is in order to contune shopping [smile]. Ggray Holmes

I was reminded not to shop any merchant who uses FedEx and requires a signature. If there is some kind of release to be oked on line, it should be made more evident. I will not pay to have something delivered and then go and pick it up. I might as well shop at the local department stores.
