Full review
I ordered a Rancilio Rocky coffee grinder on July 02/2008. The order number is: H646511
HomeClick charged my credit card on July 5, 2008 and sent me an order confirmation which clearly stated that the merchandise was to be delivered before July 23rd, 2008.
I waited and waited and finally called them on July 23rd, 2008 to check order status. The first customer rep put me on hold for 30 minutes and never came back. I had to hang up and re-dialed. The second customer rep was better. I only had to wait fifteen minutes for him to check status. He stated that the vendor was slow in delivery and the merchandise would be delivered on July 29th. Please keep in mind that when I placed the order on July 2nd it showed on their website that they had the merchandise in stock.
July 29 came and gone.
I called HomeClick today, July 30th and was informed that it would be another five working days delay. This is another delay, it is not a promise of delivery. I declined the wait and requested a refund.
An hour later I got an email confirmation from HomeClick telling me that a refund request has been initiated but not yet confirmed. It would be three more days for confirmation and in that time if the merchandise arrives in their warehouse I'd be charged 25% of the merchandise cost for restocking fees plus shipping back to the vendor.
It appears like a scam to me. I am mentally preparing myself for a dispute and legal action against this dishonest merchant.
Folks, please stay away from this company. I've been purchasing almost all my home electronics/appliances on line for the past ten years and this is the first time I experience this type of disservice.
