I have gone on many web sites and this one made it easy to get more detailed information from a live representative. Dominic Anfossi was very helpful in understanding the product line and the information needed in order to place this order. Of course, the prices were also good. I would definitely use this web site again!

When I did have a concern, I could either call &/or e-mail it to them; they would in turn, either call &/or e-mail me. I ordered 3 Kohler lav. sinks. Two were fine, one was what looks like a knock off, Kohler not stamped anywhere. the real problem was that the size of this sink was about 1 inch off the other sink (and these were to be side by side sinks). The "bad"

Find when items are in stock receive them promptly. If not in stock have to send email or numerious emails for status updates and request the tracking number. In future if an item is not in stock I may go to another merchant even if the price is slightly higher for the convenience of knowing I will receive the item sooner.

I placed the order on 8/29 and still have not yet received it. When I contacted the HomeCenter on 10/16 they advised me that the vender "had a poor lead time". On 10/23 they advised that it would ship on 11/1. They have not yet responded to 2 followup e-mails requesting an expected ship date.
I have over $500 invested in this order and because of the continued assurances that I would be receiving it soon, and the time so far invested (18 weeks so far), I feel trapped, as I don't want to start the lengthy time wait all over again with someone else.
If they know that this vendor has a problem delivering product why do they offer it?

So far, my experience with Home Center has been HORRIBLE. A few days after placing my order, I received an e-mail stating that 3 of the 10 lights I ordered had been discontinued, but the remaining lamps were in stock and ready to ship. FIFTEEN DAYS later, I had heard nothing from the company, and had not received the lights. I contacted customer service by phone; the rep who helped me (Sal) did not realize that I had several lights on my order; he put me on hold to call the light manufacturer, and then came back to tell me that the light he called about would now be shipped, and I should receive it in a few days. I asked about the rest of the order, and he said he'd only checked on the first item. He asked me to mail the rest of my order information to him (apparently he didn't have it on his system??), so he could check on it. I did this, and he wrote back saying only, "Thanks. Sal". It has been 5 days since then and I still have heard nothing from him. I submitted an on-line query to the Home Center customer service on the same day, and received a reply 2 days later that "An e-mail was sent to you on 03-October about discontinued lights. Please check your spam folder." This did NOT address the fact that the remaining 7 lights had still not been delivered. I wrote back that day to say that the problem was not the discontinued lights I was informed on on 03-Oct, it was the remaining 7 lights which had not been received. It has been 4 days since I sent that e-mail and I still have gotten no reply. I was out of town and unable to call the Home Center in the last few days, but I will call again tomorrow. I placed the order on 28-Sept and it is now 22-Oct--no lights, no tracking number, no status, NO REPLY to address this specific issue. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, and unless something drastic changes, I will NEVER shop with Home Center again.

I was very disappointed because I picked out the wrong finish on my faucet and when I inquired about making an exchange, not a return, I was told it would cost me 20% fee on top of postage. Which is rediculeous. So needless to say I am stuck with a faucet finish that I am not happy with. I sent a email asking about a sink grate for my new sink and I never received a response on which one to buy for my new sink. Which made me even less happy with the shopping experience.

I did a search for a few items that I needed and on all of the price compare tools it showed that they were the cheapest overall price ( price + tax + shipping ).
When I went to the site to place the order I found that they add a handling charge of almost $8.00 to all orders under $75. This more than doubled the total cost of my item. I feel that they are doing this to deceive the price compare sites and tacking on costs after the price compare sites are doing the price compare. |

Their website indicated they had a particular faucet in stock. We ordered on a Saturday evening, but did not receive an e-mail until Monday that they no longer carry the faucet. Companies should make sure their websites are up to date on their stock.

I had a great experience but I also know exactly what product I wanted (model numbers, finishes, etc.) so it was a pretty easy transaction. After using the manufacturer's catalog to research and choose our product, we went online to find it for the best price from the vendor with the best policies and delivery. We also compared local vendors. In the end HomeCenter.com had the best overall price and selection. The prices of individual items weren't the lowest but after adding in the discounts they offered and the free shipping, we saved over $100 from the next best priced competitor.
Our items arrived within two weeks (totally acceptable for ground shipping) and everything was in good shape. I will finish this review after we install everything. |

Have ordered things for our remodel including whirlpool tub, which was delivered as curbside delivery. My contractor took it from the truck with three people helping him out. The rest was delivered quite easily to our door. One item was damaged in transit, but we reported it right away and Homecenter.com took care of the damaged item and sent a new one. The credit took about a month to get on the damaged item. Besides this small hiccup, we got all items in a timely fashion, got great service on the phone from Dominic Anfossi and Stacey, when needed. The prices saved us a lot of money and the products were all perfect for our remodel. The contractor was even impressed with how fast the deliveries came from the time we ordered. Some orders shipped the same day and we would receive them within a couple of days. Others took a few weeks but better than anywhere else that we had shopped around for. Very impressed with this company. Very well run organization.
