I am another dummy who didn't do my homework before buying on Home Annex's site. I made a purchase on December 1, 2008. They happily took my payment via PayPal. Today it is January 21, 2009. Several emails were not answered. Two phone calls were made. Still no product, no email confirmation of expected ship dates, much less the original order. Nothing. There is no excuse for this. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am also filing with the Federal Trade Commission and PayPal. I suggest if you have similar problems you do the same so they will have to shape up or shut down.

I am building a home and thought that I would try HomeAnnex as the web site is slick and the prices are very good.I have placed 3 orders ($1500). ALL of my orders/items had significant and expensive problems Delivery - slow, NO tracking. One order "lost" by HAOrder Accuracy - bronze and stainless are the same color at HA (oh don't try to return items to HA customer service is nonexistant)Customer Service - As far as I could tell there is none. No email, no phone, nada.My lesson: stick with internet companies that are reviewed (Amazon, Yahoo, Ebay, etc) STAY AWAY from Home Annex

This store is awful. I ordered a light for my entry way and paid using bill me later. After two weeks, the light didn't ship and I had read tons of bad reviews. I cancelled the order over the phone and was told that they would refund the charge on the bill me later account in October. Now it is January and I still have the charge on my bill me later account and they are charging me interest. Avoid this retailer at all costs, they are felons!

This company has still not learned from their mistakes. Let the buyer beware. Just look at all the negative reviews from so many people out there. I placed an order for light switch plates on Dec. 19, 2008. Free shipping but a $7.95 processing fee jacks up the price anyway. My credit card was charged on Dec. 21, 2008 the full amount, two days after the order was placed. That they know how to do quickly. Now, Jan. 11, 2009 and I have not heard a word or seen any merchandise. I e-mailed their customer service requesting a status to my order. No reply. The other reviewers are right. Too bad I didn't find their reviews before I purchased.

Well, I finally received my order..... but it does not fit! I called customer service and the customer service manager Patrick would not handle my call. Maybe it was because he is the one that told me which model number I needed to fit my fireplace. I have left 2 voicemails to the next guy in line (Joe Neiman) and still no resolve 2 weeks later. BEWARE BEWARE!!!!! Company has proven to be HORRIBLE!

I cancelled an order with HomeAnnex.com before delivery was scheduled and I've been waiting two months for them to refund my money! When I cancelled the order they told me my credit card had not been charged. I found out otherwise on my monthly statement. They told me it would take 4-6 weeks to refund and it cost me a $20+ handling feel. Later they promised a refund within 3-5 days. It never showed. Today they promised me that the refund has been made and I should see it on my account within 24 hours. We'll see...

Like everyone else said; this company is not very impressive. Please do your homework before buying from them. I order 2 items. Both were shipped timely and nicely packaged with padding. However one of the items looked like it had been kicked acrossed the room and was damaged severly. The box it came in was taped back together and if they would have checked it before shipping it they would have seen that it was damaged. It's been 1 month and 6 days since I submitted my Returned Goods Authorization and I still don't have my new item. Called multiple times in one day, submitted emails to 4 different people. No response. They refuse to give me the direct line for the returns department and promise me that she will call me back. She hasn't yet. Thanks for getting my Christmas gift to me on time for Christmas.

I will never use Home Annex again. I placed an order over the phone 12-4-08 and was told the item would be shipped 12-8-08. By 12-11-08 I was concerned because there were no follow-up e-mails regarding the shipping. I went on-line only to find out I had no order. I called and was told yes I had an order pending, but that the item was on back-order and would be shipped mid-January. I asked why I didn't receive notice. The customer service agent had no answer. I asked to cancel my order. She had to check with her supervisor. I asked if my credit card was billed, she had to check with the credit card department. I was told that yes it was billed, but they would refund my money. I will wait and see. Overall their customer service is horrendous. Each hold lasts at least three minutes, while they check things out. Quick to bill, non-existent when it comes to actually processing the order.

Pricing is average but customer service is terrible. They will not call you back as promised and they will blame YOU when things go wrong and try to get you to pay for additional freight or handling charges. The order was placed on 8/31 and the last piece arrived 11/30 after filing a BBB case. BEWARE! |

I have been shopping online for a long time and have never experienced a vendor like homeannex.com. They are the worst. Due to system problems on their end, I was sent 2 orders of the same item and tried to return one unopened. Here it is over three months later, and I still have not received a refund. In addition, because they ship directly from the manufacturer, they are going to impose a 25% restocking fee on the return even though its their fault. Their view is that they have to impose it because the manufacturer is imposing it on them. I guess they do not believe in taking responsibility for their mistakes. I will NEVER purchase from this vendor again. It has taken untold calls to customer service and their returns department (including supervisors and managers) and long waits on hold just to get to this point. They do everything in their power to keep your money. STAY AWAY.

I ordered 4 lights a month ago and have still not received them. First time I phoned (30 mins wait time to speak to an operative) the guy said that he can't tell me where my order is, he'll phone me back. Yea right. I phoned again the next day and the guy told me it has been shipped and gave me a tracking number that worked. They only seem to ship the stuff out when they get complaints? Tracking number suggests that shipment wil take a week. So 5 weeks for 4 lights.

TERRIBLE company! These people are a RIP OFF. Ordered two faucets at $300 each and the chrome finish is a mess. I have been fighting them on getting replacements now for over TWO MONTHS and it's still not resolved. Now the want me to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee for damaged goods, I don't think so. I have reported them to the NY BBB and will wait to see what they can do to help me. DO NOT ORDER from this company unles you like being ripped off.

Beware of the poor customer service...
Attempted to purchase a light with with black hardware which was provided as an option on the website. HomeAnnex placed the wrong order. I had to call several times to attempt to resolve the issue. Customer service at HomeAnnex was totally unresponsive. Requests to speak directly to the Customer service Manager were ignored. Absolutely the worst experience. They do not accept returns on defective items so I guess I'm stuck with a broken $500 light fixture. Customer service does not call back, they just don't care. I entered a return request and never heard back from them. After three weeks I called them and basically they only care if the item was damaged during shipping. My light fixture has defective welds on the loops that hold the chain. They broke when the electrician hung the fixture. HomeAnnex will not do anything about it. They just don't bother to return phone calls.
They are crooks and I will never buy from them again. The only way to have a positive experience is to cross your fingers!! |

The sinks were supposed to ship in 2-4 wks. I was given notice that they were backordered 6 more weeks, towards the end of week 3. I canceled the order because I could not wait. I was told a credit would be issued. The credit was never issued. When I called to inquire, I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. I went to my credit card company to file a dispute. I'm extremely dissatisified with this company and will never do business with them again.

I received the product - in several boxes and pieces and the countertop was received damaged. I have sent an email in and called since no response to email and sent pictures per the reps request and still have not received any word on the status of replacing the countertop. The countertop was packaged flimsy - in wood planks and the countertop was supposively protected with flimsy panel sytrofoam - the countertop cracked in the middle of the sink. It has been over 2 weeks now and the more I wait the more damaged the countertop gets because of the weight and packaging (still have not unpackaged the countertop.
I REQUSTED THE COUNTERTOP BE REPLACED - NOTHING AND MY PROJECT HAS STALLED BECAUSE OF THIS.
MY NEXT STEP IS TAKING THIS UP WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY.
