Mixed experience, customer service needs LOTS of improvement

I have placed 3 orders for plumbing accessories and cabinet hardware with Home Annex. Their prices are pretty good, the selection great, but I have had mixed experiences with timely delivery of my orders. The last order I placed was shipped within 48 hrs of placing it. Another order arrived in about 2-3 weeks. However, a robe hook I ordered on June 17 has still not arrived. 3 emails to customer service have gone unanswered. Called customer service 3 times, long hold times, finally spoke to someone who seemed to know what they were doing. Was told my hook would arrive in "about two weeks". Still no hook.
I would not recommend anything time critical or breakable be ordered from them. They have a great selection and good prices, but if you need help from customer service, don't count on it. |

After searching the net endlessly coming up with nothing but "i will have to special order that for you and it will take 4 to 6 weeks" I was given the number of homeannex by another vender,bless his heart.One phone call they had exactly what i wanted I went to website to make sure it was what I needed and it was.I told them i needed it within a week and could that be done.They said it would be shipped within 48 hours and arrive within 5 days.the price was $30.00 less than I had paid for the one I was replacing so I was thrilled.Well its the 5th day after I placed my order and I have exactly what I ordered in my hand I could not be happier.Its a rare thing in this day and age to deliver as promised Thanks Homeannex.

How scary is it to order $1000 + worth of kitchen and bath faucets from some place across the country? We are on a budget and I could not resist the prices for brand-name fixtures, sink, etc. The site is extremely easy to navigate and the product spec sheets helped ensure the hardware would fit the sinks we had purchase locally.

For our extensive bathroom remodel, we ordered all our plumbing fixtures and hardware from Homeannex.com. All parts were prompt and accurate in delivery. We needed the shower valves faster than originally expected and Customer Service at Homeannex was able to get the pieces in half the time. Dealing with Homeannex saved me dollars, time, and headaches - which rarely happens, as anyone who has remodeled can attest to. I would recommend Homeannex to anyone and will be coming back whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Very satisfied with HomeAnnex. Ordered four different items-- fixtures and pipes for a shower and spoke to a friendly rep. One fixture indicated shipping of 5 weeks, but everything shipped within 48 hours of placing the order and arrived a few days later. I will definitely do business with them again.

After 7 months, I still haven't received the faucet I ordered. First they sent the wrong faucet. I contacted them and requested that the correct faucet be sent. To avoid hassle and since I needed another faucet anyway, I paid for the wrong faucet to use in a different room. They issued a new order number for the correct faucet. 5 months later ... no faucet. They said it was back-ordered, was now in stock, would arrive in a week. 2 weeks later ... I requested a tracking number. 2 more weeks later ... still no response. I now know why their prices are so low - won't make the mistake of shopping here again.

My experiences with this company resulted in filing 3 complaints to the NYC Better Business Bureau. Home Annex refused to return any calls to the BBB. BBB said they were going to give them the lowest marks possible. The customer service agents are 'trained' to not accept returns, even when it is the company's fault. These folks are crooks. Avoid at all costs. I never used to check reviews on website firms, and what a mistake. I have learned the hard way..........

I ordered a brushed nickel Unica A Wallbar 36" #27825 in Nov 05 & was told it would be delivered in 2 weeks. 3+ months later, it still was not delivered & no refund - even after calling twice! I called again & was promised I would get a refund. 6 months later - no wallbar & no refund. HomeAnnex is a TOTAL rip off and I am filing a formal grievance with the FTC.

First I want to thank you for the wonderful customer service. I placed my order and had my delivery address all messed up. I sent a email and decided to follow up with a phone call. By the time i called they already had made the change to my account. That same day I rec'd a follow up cal from your verification dept. that very same day to verify that I in fact changed my address. The very next day i get a email with the UPS tracking information with a delivery date of 3 days after I placed the order. Let me tell you i have told everyone about this wonderful shopping experience and how impressed I was with the excellent customer service. I cant wait to have my new sink installed next week.

I WAS going to order - price was good and free shipping. I filled out all the info and after all that saw that, I was being charged a "handling fee" which basically amounts to NO free shipping. I found that very misleading and didn't go through w/my order.

I ordered a simple set of filters two months ago and still have not received my order. There customer service dept will treat you nicely, but they really don't care about your order. The worst part is that they charge your credit card immediately when making the purchase, not once your order is shipped. |

The worst. After telling me the product was in stock, and being billed in full for it, it turns out the item was backordered and would be months. When I asked for a refund back to the credit card they hung up the phone. I have now learned they have multiple complaints against them with the BBB. This company tries to look friendly and huge but it's just a couple of guys drop shipping out of an office at best. They have no product knowledge and are absolutely the most inept dealers on the Internet. I went to a manufacturer recommended dealer and had the products at my door step 2 days later. Live and learn.

I just ordered a beautiful faucet from this company,they told me it will get to me in 3 weeks I got it within 2 .You can trust them when they say it will not take any longer.Their sales team was very helpful when i spoke to them on the phone.I am a older women who cant get out that much and by them having such a great website that I can rely on,helps me greatly.When ever I need to go shopping i need to take my weelchair and that is really anoying.You can trust them i tell all my freinds at the nursing home about them to.

This was a painless purchase. The drawer pulls arrived about a week after ordered which was on the early side of the delivery range stated. The customer service people are top notch. On a previous order, that's still pending, I spent considerable time on the phone with one of the CS people. They went out of their way to check stocks and to assure delivery of a designer toilet that we needed. I wouldn't go anywhere else for home improvement items.

I received a credit on merchandise that was never delivered only after I filed complaints with the BBB and my credit card company, and had my attorney send them a letter. Excellent, trustworthy on-line store. I ordered a bathroom faucet replacement spout. Web site ordering provides complete product description so that one can be certain of subtle details, such as the finish that one is ordering. Customer Service provided a prompt order confirmation e-mail and their web site provided order status including tracking information. Order shipped on time and was very well packed. I just placed a second order, this time via phone because I could not find one of my part numbers on-line. Sales person was courteous and thorough as he located the correct part numbers. Again, I received a prompt order confirmation e-mail, complete with full part numbers and their corresponding detailed descriptions. I highly recommend this site for either on-line ordering or phone ordering since they excel at both. I prefer strictly on-line ordering, but it is nice to know that someone will answer the phone if I have to call.

I would never order from HomeAnnex again. Every time I called concerning a delivery date I was told "its shipping today". Two weeks later I had to threaten to have American Express revoke the payment (which was charged to my card a month and a half earlier) to get them to truly ship the items. Additionally, one of the items was back-ordered. When I tried to cancel it I was told that I couldnt because it was in their warehouse and shipping to me that day. Three days later I received an email saying I couldn't cancel because it was enroute from the manufacturer to their warehouse and I would receive it in about a week. Still have yet to receive the item. I was lied to every single time I spoke with someone and would NEVER order from them again.

I've been reading the past reviews from other customers and I think homeannex is getting a bad rap. I've been ordering from them for two years now for remodeling projects that I've been working on, and not a single one of my 15 orders has had any mishaps. Yes, they have long lead times, but they informed me in advance, so I knew to order with plenty of time.
I can only assume, that most of the people here experiencing problems have been dealing with the wrong people. My salesman Mike, is always honest with me and tells me if the manufacturer has the item in stock or if there is going to be a long lead time. I really hope my message helps people out there to give homeannex a chance. They may take a while to deliver some of the items but they do deliver. Thank You Michelle Lewis |

BUYERS BEWARE!! I did NOT have a pleasant experience at Home Annex. I was told my order was in stock and would ship in 7 days; well I finally received my order 5 weeks later. The customer service department was AWFUL. I left several messages with a manager because I was not getting much assistance, but I never received a return call. I also left several messages on the website, which promises a response in 48 hours. I never got a response. I WOULD NOT recommend doing business with this company. Please read other reviews. Unfortunately, I read them too late.

I ordered from HomeAnnex.com on 12/10/05 and the product was "in stock" according to the website. Today, 2/9/06, after NUMEROUS phone calls and emails I have still not received the order even though my credit card was charged the same day I ordered.
I've been unable to get a refund on my credit card and will be filing a complaint with the attorney general and my credit card company. I've been lied to and stolen from. I highly encourage others to avoid the mistakes that many have made (read the other reviews, as I should have first) and order from somewhere else. |

They are the worst internet company I've dealt with. It took months for a $300 light fixture to arrive without a single update. After several phone calls, I told them to cancel the order. The fixture arrived 5 days later.
A Danze towel bar, one of 5 items ordered in the Opulence series,was severely defective in its manufacture. It cost me almost $11 to return the old bar(no credit for postage), I was immediately charged for the replacement at the current price, not the sale price of the original,and it took 4 months and many phone calls before I was given credit for the return. |

I searched the internet for the best price on a set of bathroom fixtures and found Home Annex to have the lowest price plus free shipping. I placed the order and received an e-mail with my order confirmation, which did not reflect an expected ship date. I checked my order status through the web-site and all it reflected was Paid. To my surprise, I received the item only 1.5 weeks after placing the order. I would have liked to receive some type of tracking and/or shipping information, but overall my experience with Home Annex was great and I would recommend them to friends and family.

Found Homeannex on Google and was blown away by prices. They beat Lowe's, Home Depot, Faucet.com, & flat blew away local plumbing distributors. Reading epinions reviews scared me a little, but upon further review and after talking with a Homeannex sales rep on the phone I decided to give it a shot. I had 4-5 weeks until my plumber needed items, so I had some leeway there, and delivery time seems to be biggest complaint.
I will use Homeannex.com again and would highly recommend it. My advice is, based on other experiences, don't order anything that is needed quickly without verifying shipping times, etc. via phone first. |

I had the worst experience of my life with this store.I ordered Emtek hardware for a new house and the delivery was to be in 2-4 wks and i did not recieve it till 10 wks. The managers were not helpful and none of my emails were returned and I still have to see my order.The customer service is horrible and I was on hold with them foe 2 hrs a day to speak to someone and none of the messages would be returned. Please dont go by their price the headache is not worth it.I hope no one gets this kind of experience as I was not able to lock my house timely because of their service.
