WARNING!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I made an order there 4 months ago and still haven't received it!! I have tried contacting their "live help" (which doesn't actually exist), I've tried emails, and phone numbers, and have never reached anybody!! I'm not convinced this company is even real... total scam!!!

HOMEANNEX is in TROUBLE!  They will gladly take your order and process your credit card, but there is no customer service and no fulfillment of my order to date.  NOT RECOMMENDED -- LET THE CONSUMER BEWARE!  Their prices are competitive, but the hassle is not worth the savings compared to other vendors.  They seem to be operating as a "storefront" with the facade of a professional and reliable business.  Stay away.  I wish I had checked other independent reviews on them before placing an order.

Absolutely Horrible!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, actually NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.  Won't answer emails regarding status of my order.  Phone numbers are invalid or disconnected.  The one number I found that was working was a messaging service hired by a communications company hired by this company.  They just send messages, and the messages are never returned.  Better Business Bureau revoked their membership due to number of complaints (123 in past 12 months!) and number of unresolved complaints.  Complaints made to New York Attorney General.  Dozens of websites all functioning identically, each selling different product types.  Company is deliberately unreachable.  Cannot recommend this business!!

Take my free advice stay away from this company.  Everyone is having a problem with them.  Call the BBB and see how many complaints they have just in the last few weeks.  There is no live support and just try to get a return call or e-mail.  Read the lreviews for the last 8 months and not one is positive.  You have to be out of your mindto do business with this insane company.

The company must be going out of business since both the sales and customer service phone lines tell you to send them an email and then hang up. I am still holding the wrong hardware and there seems to be no hope in getting a refund after 9  months. What a bunch of scam artists!

JUST FOUND OUT FRIDAY, THE ORDER IS READY AND FROZEN DUE TO HOME ANNEX FAILURE TO PAY THE VENDOR.
THIS IS A FRAUDULENT TRANSACTION. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM AND THEY ARE UNRAVELING LIKE A PONZI SCHEME.

Worst experience ever, and still going on.

Ordered a product online because price was lower than anywhere else.  Waited a month, no delivery.  Spent two days, 5 hours each day, sending emails and trying to get through to customer service on the phone.  When we finally reached someone, was put on hold several times until she checked with her manager.  Finally received an email to let us know the price posted was incorrect and would we approve an additional $100 to the amount already charged on our credit card the day the order was placed.  We immediately replied no and received no response for several more days.  Left several more messages and emails asking for credit card to be refunded.  Finally received a reply that they would do so in 5-7 business days.  It is now 14 business days later and we still have not received the credit on our card.  We sent a registered, certified letter to their Brooklyn, NY address and no one was there to receive it.  USPS tried twice and left notices.  That was 3 weeks ago.  Will continue to call and email.  Will go to the State of NY next.  May have to hire an attorney...

Be Cautious  This outfit refused to replace an item that arrived damaged.  They also have a poor customer service department that keeps you on hold each time you call for 15 to 30 minutes.  They made promises to return telephone calls, but never did.  I would never do business with them again.

WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!! This company should be put out of business. I ordered bathroom accessories that never came. They lied about the shipping time, and when it didn't arrive, they said it would take another six weeks to arrive. They didn't bother to tell  me that until I asked! So I cancelled the order. They lied again about the refund. It took FIVE calls to the company, each time having to wait 15 to 30 minutes just to speak with someone. I got the runaround. They hadn't even cancelled the order by the third time I called!! After 8 weeks, they finally refunded my credit card.

They've got a professional looking website and really good prices, but I wouldn't recommend ANYONE buy there. Beware of this place and do your homework online before ordering! I wish I had!!!

Worst company I have ever dealt with.  I ordered cabinet hardware over two months ago and never received the order.  When I called customer service and had time to wait the thirty minutes it took to get someone on the phone I was first informed it should be shipped within a week, then two weeks, then it was back ordered, then a promise it was to ship the next day and finally a week after that I called and was informed they no longer deal with that manufacturer and I would be receiving my money back within 3-4 days.  STAY AWAY from this company.  I only wish I had read the reviews before I placed my order!

By far the Worst company to deal with. My 2-3 week order time is at 7 weeks now. Expect long waits to customer no-service and no replies to e-mails. Found out today that they can't fill my order. Went back on the sales site and the item is still available but at a higher Price! The lesson here is to read the reviews BEFORE Ordering....

Customer service was extremely helpful. Ordering was easy. The product was a bistro patio set of one table and two chairs. They arrived with some of the coating on the metal chipped off and the table was somewhat bent.

NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!  Home Annex, operating several 'front' web marketers ('Decor 66' and others, under 'Nieman New York' umbrella, apparently) is either a total fraud or completely incompetent.  In November, I ordered three toilets for rental properties.  Two were sent to the wrong address, and mis-labeled, in addition, but we managed to sort that out and I received them about 2 months after order.  Now, we approach 4 months after order, with no third unit (more than half the value of the order), and they won't pick up or return phone calls.  Emails bounce back.  There seems to be no recourse for this outrageous dishonesty.

I canceled an order before it even shipped (as weeks had passed and I needed the item for a remodel) and was not given a refund. After long hours on hold, dealing with rude and dismissive customer service, and just plain being ignored - I finally left it to my credit card company to deal with.

Exactly 6 months after the order was canceled, I finally received a refund. And that's only because my credit card company contacted them.

There are plenty of online resellers that are fantastic - I have spent the past year and a half working with them. There's no reason to shop with HomeAnnex, Decor66, and all of their other brands. They offer the same or perhaps slightly better prices (a dollar here and there) - it's just not worth it!

Improvement Direct and their brands, for instance, offer fantastic customer service at great prices.

I purchased a lamp via PayPal.  After a few weeks of waiting I finally emailed, twice, for an update.  No reply so I started to call.

I called 5 times.  Each call required 20+ minutes of hold music and advertisements that make you grit your teeth.  Three of these times I was told that they would refund my money within 72 hours.  They did not.

Finally I called again.  I don't know if they just recognized that I wasn't going to stop calling, but the agent almost immediately put me through to "Accounting". 

HERE IS WHERE I MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP:
I spoke to Mark in Accounting at extension 214.  He told me that he thought he would be able to provide me with a refund in the next 1-3 days.  Well, I FINALLY GOT IT!

So, for those getting burned, forget their "customer service" department.  Call Mark in Accounting at extension 214!!!

I purchased some cabinet hardware through Amerock.com which is a part of Home Annex.  I purchased from them because they had the best prices and "free shipping" but had a handling fee.  Had I know they were apart of Home Annex I would have NEVER bought them.

I received the hardware quickly but realized they weren't going to work for me.  The picture online of the item wasn't accurate of the actual item.  It was very misleading.  I called them right away to return them and waited for a half an hour.  They took my info and said they'd email me a RTA #.  I wait 2 weeks no email.  I call again another, half hour wait.  They said they are still waiting on the number.  I call today 6 weeks later and a 25 min. wait they have the number but there will be a restocking fee.  WHAT!  I told them the picture was inaccurate so they lowered the fee to 10%  from 30% plus I have to pay to ship it back.  What a joke.  I'll be suprised if I even get any of my refund back.  This company is a nightmare.

I ordered two floor lamps on July 16, 2008, and they were continually backordered. I tried canceling the order in December 2008. I was told that the product was not shipped, but that it could not be cancelled. The products arrived mid-January 2009, and our mailroom refused delivery. I began calling customer service on February 3; the customer services representative used profanity during our conversation. I still have not received a credit. Today as I tried calling, February 11, 2009, the phone was repeatedly answered and then immediately cut off. Now the company phone message is that "all lines are busy."  I don't think I'll ever see my $200.88 credit.

I will never buy from Home Annex again and advise everyone else not to.  I tried to return a small item  purchased from Home Annex and have never had such trouble- and have never gotten reinbursement.  After many requests, I finally got the Return Authorization Number that they required and return instructions.  The item was sent back Fed Ex and verified that it arrived- still no credit.  I have tried both e-mail and calling- they said the credit would be coming, but two months have passed since then.  The item cost less than $30.00 and it has cost me way too much in time and aggravation.  Buyer beware!

Here's the drill they put me through.  1) Showed my ordered item as in-stock, charged my credit card immediately upon confirmation of order.  2) Never shipped my order.  3) After 3 weeks, I ordered from somewhere else who actually had my faucet in stock.  Emailed DanzeInStock.com to cancel my order.  Never received confirmation on cancellation.  4) Emailed cancellation request twice more over a period of 10 days, faxed x 1, never received confirmation on cancellation.  5) Finally called and waited quite awhile on hold to speak with customer service to cancel.  Was told order "was being prepared for shipment today, unable to cancel, will be charged 'restocking fee'."

Based on my experience, not sure this is a legitimate company.  Will work with my credit card company to reverse all charges.  Would not even think of ever placing another order with DanzeInStock.com.

They sent me the wrong light.  It took several calls (more than 5) to customer service and 3 months to recieve the correct one.  Each call to customer service was NO LESS THAN 30 MINS of waiting until I could speak with someone.  The customer service is severely lacking as well as their ability to right a wrong order.  I'll gladly pay 10% more for something if I never have to shop here again.

This is the worst company I have ever delt with. They charged my credit card but didn't ship the product. After hours on the phone they sent the fireplace doors. Needless to say they were the incorrect size even though they were given the model number of the fireplace. Hours on the phone again with promises to return my calls but they never did. After many weeks they sent me a return label but we now here nothing from them. They now have my money and I returned the doors so I guess I end up with nothing. The only ability they have is to run you around, I think I heard every excuse. Save yourself a lot of problems deal with anyone but HomeAnnex.
