This was the worst online experience I have ever had. First, I was told that I would get to inspect my delivery and sign for it. But, it was just left on my porch.
When we unrolled the run, it was covered in MOLD.
I received the rug, but the Home Depot computer records did not show that it had shipped. Because of this, no one at Home Depot was willing to help me, or initiate a return. I had to keep the moldy rug for ONE MONTH while I waited for their computer records to be updated. This toxic product endangered the health of my family.
Once I was able to begin the return process, the process was chaotic. Each person that I spoke with told me a different story about what I should expect in the return process. I was told I would be contacted to schedule a pick up - I was never contacted. UPS just showed up one day. I was told shipping labels would be mailed to me - they were not.
I will avoid Home Depot online and in store. I hope to never do business with them again. and I hope to convince as many other people of this as possible. I look forward to my shopping experiences at OSH and Lowe's.

All items arrived damaged. I had to package the item back up, using about a roll of tape. I called for a return lable, but still have not recieved one. While I wait, my credit card is still charged. I will not shop at Home Depot again. I don't understand why I can't return to the store.

Attempted to purchase using Tax Deferred ID. Our company direct pays sales tax, so all purchases are subject to sales tax when processed internally. That means, I paid sales tax online, and when my payment was processed internally, sales tax was added again, resulting in paying tax twice, the second time paying tax on previously paid tax.
This item was not available in the local stores, it was catalog only. I will not order online again, if at all possible, mainly due to our company's tax deferred status.

The merchandise arrived on time and in fine condition, but the packaging was completely wet and falling apart. I was very pleased with the product; however, if I had needed to return this heavy stone table,it would have been problem. Also, if had I ordered a delicate product, the water damage to the packaging my have created a different problem.

Please note I am still trying to return the item I purchased..... a humidifier... and still haven't gotten the mailing label to return it.
I was told Home Depot would mail me a label and UPS would pick it up. I called September 7 for a label and Sept. 15 for a label and this is Sept. 23 and to date have not received the label.
The humidifier is charged to my home depot credit card and I can't return it to the store....
And after this experience and the experience I had at the store with another order, I will be shopping at Lowe's.

Incident #1: I purchased a gift card by phone; the person who took my order did not seem confident in doing the transaction, and her speech was not particularly easy to understand. The word "business" was spelled incorrectly on the gift card enclosure when received by the client; Rather embarassing, since this was a business gift to a client!
Incident #2: I made an error when placing a phone order for a gift card. I called back within 5 minutes of placing the order and was told that orders were processed on the hour, and nothing could be done to correct it until the order was processed. I called back promptly at the stated time (less than an hour later) and was told that the order was already processed and sent, and there was no way to change it (all within less than an hour of my purchase??!?) This resulted in a card being sent to the incorrect client,creating an awkward situation for us.
So far, I am 2-for-2 in having difficulty with my gift card orders...

I originally placed my order on 9/9 after numerous times checking their websit for status of my order which consistently showed "in progress" I decided to call them only to find out that the order had been cancelled. After persistence on my part I ordered another light fixture and was offered a 30% discount as a gesture of good faith. It does not say much when I customer has to call to find out where their order is what is the point of having a tracking website ???

I ordered a set of drawers. Home depot sent the drawers to someone in Virginia and sent me some shower filters instead. I was going away for a week and was not able to get Home Depot to coordinate with me and UPS about when the wrong order would be picked up and the right order delivered. It took a long time to get the right order. The people I spoke to on the phone were mostly nice, though some seemed to think it was my responsibility to guarantee that the folks in Virginia had returned their wrong order, which I could not control. I was given an additional rebate for the inconvenience.

Went on line to find a Zinsco Breaker. and found that Home Depot carried the breaker I was looking for as no one in our town carried the Zinsco 30 amp breaker. I went to Homedepot.com and ordered the right breaker without anydelay and got it in a reasonable time.

Only glitch was the inability to track the order as it was done by an outside trucking company and no company was listed. Because someone had to be home to accept the delivery this was awkward as I had no idea of the delivery date

I could have saved time by purchasing the merchandise in the local store but was told by the salesperson that it was not a stock item and could only be obtained through catalog order. I later found out that the item is stocked in the store because I found it on the shelf after I placed the order. The salesperson did not know that it was a stocked item. I received the same product that I placed back on the self.

The shopping and ordering were easy. The length of time between ordering and receiving the product was unusually long. The shipper said they would deliver on Friday. I stayed home all day. They didn't deliver until Saturday. The boxes were in terrible shape. Three of the four chairs were damaged. Customer service was great. Hopefully we will get replacement parts promptly and undamaged.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from your online customer service reps, as well as your store sales reps. I placed an order on your website, and when I called to check the status, neither of the two representatives I spoke with were able to tell me when my order was going to be shipped, and your website specifically stated that I would receive my order within 5 to 7 business days. I called back after the 7th business day to check the status, and the order hadn't even be filled. I decided to go to one of your local stores, and pay the extra $90 it would have costed, in order for me to have the item I wanted, but was brushed off and ingnored by the salesman in the store. I feel that your sales people need training on how to treat your customers, and be able to answer their questions in regards to their order.

However, our order was cancelled with no explaination. We have called customer service to no avail. There was no reason provided on the cancellation notice for us to correct or provide more info to make our order. We are not satisfied.

I like Home Depot as a real store. My main complaint is about shipping. I ordered 2nd day air. That means, from the day Home Depot sends an email stating my order shipped I should see it in 2 days. However, there is a 2 to 3 day wait after that apparently that was not clearly shown. If I had known propler I would not have paid for 2nd day air shipping. What is the point in offering it if you add 2 to 3 days to get it out of your own warehouse? I feel I was scammed on this paticular issue and will always go to a comptetitor online first now.
