Horrible customer service! Never again.

I ordered a snowblower on December 26, 2009. Obviously, this is a hectic time for snowblower makers and several models were marked as unavailable. I picked one that was supposedly avialable. The website said to allow 5-10 days for shipping.
The order went through their website OK and I got an email confirming the order. The order tracking page of their website said the order was "being processed". Four days later the website hadn't changed so I called customer service. Stephanie said they normally processed orders within two or three days but things were backed up. I asked if I still had to allow another 5-10 days for shipping and she said that was a mistake, that shipping would be at least 7-14 days after the order was processed! I told her I couldn't wait that long and asked to cancel the order. She said she would issue a cancellation request but that it would take 24 hours to process.
The next day the website still showed the order was being processed and I called again. Debbie said it would take 48 hours to process the cancellation request and that I would get a confirmation email.
48 hours later I called and Linda informed me the cancellation wouldn't be processed until the next Monday. I asked for a supervisor and Sylvia came to the phone. I asked why things were taking so long. She said all Ariens snowblowers were backordered and that they had emailed everyone who had ordered one about the delay. I never got any such email. I asked if she could send me a confirmation that my order was cancelled. She took my email address and said she would email me. That never happened.
To this day I have not gotten any kind of confirmation that the order has been cancelled. Customer service is obviously trained to tell any kind of lie to get people off the phone but not actually do anything.
