I ordered an area rug and was told it would arrive in 5-10 days. Later I was given a UPS shipping number and told to be at home for the delivery on a specific day. I took off work to be there, but no delivery. I called Home Depot who contacted UPS and then told me it would be delivered that evening, that it was already on the truck. I stayed home that evening. Eventually I learned the UPS had never received it from Home Depot at all. I have been billed by Home Depot, but have received no rug. When I contact them, I am told that they are "investigating the shipment", whatever that means???
They give me a different answer each time I call Home Depot. Time goes by, they have my money and I do not have a rug. I hesitate to get a rug elsewhere in case Home Depot actually does produce the rug and I have already paid for it so I am stuck with it. Each time I call Home Depot they tell me a story that is contradicted the next time I called and spoke with someone else. I will never shop at Home Depot online again. I have gotten supervisors on the phone supposedly, but they are not any more helpful.
