Worst on line shopping experience to date.

I love visiting Home Depot stores. In fact, I believe it is their customer service that sets them a part from other places I could shop. This is, in part, why I was so utterly taken aback by the complete absence of customer service via Home Depot online. Long story short - I ordered a bed from HD online. UPS delivered it but could not unload it as it exceeded 70 lbs. I'm 110 lbs, 5'2" and I live by myself so I was certainly not able to. I called Home Depot's "customer service" line and got bounced around and around for nearly an hour, only to be told in the end that if I'd read the fine print in my delivery confirmation email, I would have known that I might be required to unload the item from the UPS truck myself. In the end - they put a lot of energy into covering their own butts and making sure I owned all the responsibility. Even put me on hold so they could confirm they sent me a notice that included the delivery fine print. No energy at all was put into seeing if their was a way to make me a happy customer again.
OK - you got me - I'm the dumb customer who assumed that having a bed delivered meant it would actually be brought into my house. I just never thought that good "customer service" would make me feel so bad. Kind of makes the "dear valued customer" stuff they send me in the mail with my credit card statement ring even more hollow than it did before.
