My wife ordered a caliper online from Home Depot's website in January. The item we received was scratched and not in new condition. The return process was terrible. The rep told us that UPS would come and pick up the item in 3-5 days. My wife and I both work so no one could be at home and we were not comfortable with leaving a package on the front door step for 3-5 days. We returned the item ourselves via UPS and placed the RMA number on the inside and the outside of the package. When we called several weeks later and asked about our refund we were told that Home Depot never received our return. We ended up having to go back down to the UPS shipping office and get proof that someone at Home Depot signed for the package. Within days of providing that proof we received an email stating that they had received our item and were processing our return. By March my wife's credit card number was changed by her bank because of the security breach at TJ Maxx. We called and gave Home Depot the new number. In April (still no refund) we called and were told that they couldn't refund the money because the card they had on file was expired (DUH!). It is now May 21, and despite numerous phone calls and repeated promises we still have not received a refund. The customer service reps have been very rude and unhelpful.
