I just tried to buy a bed online. Have purchased MANY things from this company. Turns out it was $300, 50% more than the advertised price, because of an 'input' error. This item was not in any catalog, so who knows what the price is supposed to be. They would not honor their listed price, preferring to give it to me a $165 discount. Their customer service basically quoted their 'disclaimer' clause saying, we make mistakes!
As I said, I've bought quite a few things, they always come, late and damaged and smelling funky particle board smell. Well, with what they charge for shipping, the fact you need to putty, paint and glue together yourself. Where is the savings? I can go to IKEA and buy better quality particle board than these guys if that's what I want.
It's a blessing because I really don't like the stuff I buy from them, it's just convenient and feels like I'm getting a deal. It's not less expensive and it's worse for the environment because you're not buying good merchandise made in the USA. You're getting junky stuff that doesn't move well, but hey, you didn't pay alot for it so that's okay. Reputty & repaint and move on with your life. Well, no more, I'm tired of being embarassed by the tacky looky stuff that I bought from these guys. It looks good online or in the catalog but when you get the 300 pounds of particle board dumped on your porch and start to put it together with the sketchy charades of instructions. You're on your own. Half the time they don't even have replacement parts for it so they give you a few bucks back. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK!
In this economy, I'm surprised that they don't care that they are advertising prices that are wrong and basically telling customers to go away. I expect these folks won't last much longer based on the junk they sell and the customer 'service' they don't give.
Thanks Home Decorators for opening my eyes to the terrible stuff you offer!
