I recently ordered the mission-style coffee and console tables from Home Decorators. After reading all the bad reviews, I was hesitant, but decided that most people had trouble with out-of-stock orders and/or customer service. As a precaution, I ordered from Amazon.com, where Home Decorators offers most of their products and Amazon's safe-buying guarantee would protect me in the event of a problem. As it turned out, I had no problems. As the items were in-stock, they shipped almost immediately and arrived well before expected. The packaging was very good and, despite obvious FedEx abuse as well as the fact that the boxes spent several hours outside in the rain before we could get home to bring them in, the contents were unharmed. All hardware was there, though one set of screws was too short and we needed to get longer ones at Lowes. One box was missing instructions, but instructions could be downloaded from the Home Decorators website. All-in-all, it was a good experience, but I attribute that to the fact that the items I bought were fairly popular and in-stock. For future buyers, I strongly recommend buying through Amazon.com if you can, to add that extra layer of protection if you have any problems. Also, buying out-of-stock items will often result in no product at all...that's been my experience with every company I've ever dealt with, not just Home Decorators. Good luck!
