Awful Customer Service. Overcharges Sales Tax.

I purchased a small telephone table from HomeDecorators.com and I agree that their customer service is awful. My complaint was their overcharging and incorrect charging of sales tax. I contacted their customer service department and I was told that that's just the way it is, it's in the computer that way so it must be correct, that I have no recourse, etc. I'm a CPA / Tax Manager, so I do know what the tax rules are. I asked to talk to a supervisor and I was denied. I then asked to talk to someone who is in their Tax Dept. and they told me that they didn't have one. I said who is filing your tax returns then or why are you collecting taxes if you don't have someone reporting them? Suddenly they had an accounting or tax dept. However I was denied the opportunity to talk to the Tax Dept. I was then told my only recourse was to write their CEO. I have done that and I'm still waiting for his response, if he even reads it. I also sent him copies of the tax laws, so hopefully he does read it. If I get no response, I will be contacting the taxing authorities and suggesting that they be audited. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau among others. I even sent them a copy of a bill I had from JC Penneys who is doing it right for an example. I was told that JC Penneys is not a catalog company like HomeDecorators.com. Since when? Double-check what HomeDecorators.com charges you for sales tax. Secondly, the table I ordered was supposed to be dark oak, which I would think would be a dark brown to match my desk. When it arrived it was almost an orange color. Their pictures and description of the table was deceiving. The only thing good I can say about them is they had quick shipping. Their customer service is awful.
