After spending hours looking at many online stores for sports equipment, I chose Holabird Sports because they had the best shipping rate.  At first I was pleased that shipping for my order was $5.95. So I placed the order.
Three days after submitting the order (including giving my credit card information), I was contacted via phone and told that shipping was now going to be $17.65. I spoke to a manager and I told her that at checkout that the shipping price was $5.95, but the manager said that she “had no control over shipping price errors on the website.” I then canceled the order.  Therefore – use extreme caution when purchasing at Holabird Sports, or you may find that your shipping costs may be over 295% higher than what is stated at checkout – and you’ll only discover it after you place the order.

Overall they have good prices on their merchandise, on the other hand their customer service is absolutely horrible.   My latest, and final, experience was to have the lady yell at me the entire time I was explaining what they had shipped incorrectly.   Their better prices will no longer be enough to get my money, I'd rather pay a little extra than to deal with these people.  Simply awful!!  
Follow- up was an feeble attempt to contact me by a customer service rep - true to their poor customer service - a week later she has still not contacted me. Would say the good reviewers here likely never had to return anything. Pay alittle more and deal with people that treat you well.  It is NOT Holabird!!!

Don't expect to ship to an address that is not your home.  They will not ship to any other location.  we found this out too late.  It is stated in the shipping section of their website but then why bother to have the option of ship to and bill to?  last time we'll use this provider.

I used to think this was a great website with quality products and fast, free shipping. However, my most recent experience has left me completely disappointed. Holabirdsports sports cancelled my order on two pair if shoes without even contacting me. They "thought the order was a mistake." Thanks for nothing. No help from customer service at all by phone or email. Attitude: we don't care, we don't have to.

Web site stated product did not include a cover so I purchased a cover. When I received the product it did include a cover so now I have an extra cover. Also, the original product I purchased was canceled so I had to order another product. I am happy Holobird offered me a similar product for the same price. This is my first time shopping with this company but overall a good experience.

Holabird Sports website is intuitively easy to use to execute an order. The price of the product is the best and delivery is always on time. I make purchases from Holabird at least 3 times per year for the past decade. Their services are consistent and the company adapts to the changing market. I appreciate the discount certificates given on future purchases. Holabird honors the certificates without any hitches.

The quality of the New Balance shoes is markedly INFERIOR to a similar order 2 years ago. The shoe size 9 EE is smaller than in at least 5 pairs other New Balance shoes bought from Holabird and other sources in the last 10 years. These shoes are tight and most likely made for Asian feet...

i should say it's horrible experience with Holabird sports. Monday 11-28-2011, i order a tennis racket by phone; Tuesday 11-29-2011, they told me that they don't have the grip size they have in day ago, so give 10% discount to change the grip size and by my requirement giving one time courtesy ship by air; Wednesday 11-30-2011, they called me again that they can not do courtesy ship and previous promise are from "operator".... i had a conversation with the person call "JJ" who said she is the manager directly under the owner. she insist that they give the 10% discount. i'm so angry with Holabird Sports: where is this company's promise to their customer? do they have any truthful to their customer? bad bad reputation!!! do the owner can see it?  the order number: 31856
