Half.com

Half.com is one of the best on-line stores for used and new products which I adore. Why didn't this store start at the same time as ebay.com anyways well at least it's here. This on-line store has it all, whatever you want it's there. Theres always somebody in the other rope that wants to sell and one wants to buy that product that the person is selling. This site has helped me find products that I found in the store for twice its value and at HAlF.com I purchase the item at a low price and NEW! Now I get to save money and buy what I want. Thank you HAlf.com

Ebay does it again! I buy from here all the time. Since you are buying from individuals, you get a HUGE selection of just about anything you can think of. Shipping time is really up to the seller, but feedback systems keep service quick. This is truly an awesome site!!

Selection: great. Shipping: great. Prices: great. The ordered product: Bootleg. The problem is I purchased a Disney DVD, and when I received it I thought that the graphics on the packaging and the actual dvd looked a little out of focus and fuzzy; as if they were scanned. Trying to remain positive, I played the dvd on our portable dvd player (we were taking a road trip). Guess what? My portable dvd player will not play copied discs. Played it at home on the regular dvd player and no problem. (The seller advertised this product as "new". Never made any reference to it being a copy.) If you like keeping movie pirates in business, half.com is the site for you.

I LOVE Half.com! Because I love books, and because I am one to want to buy too many books, this is such a great option, to get the books I want at a fraction of the cost! Because the sellers are still under E-bay regulations, feedback is still left for the sellers, which gives me the assurance if I buy from a seller, I can see what type of reputation they have before buying. I have yet to have a bad experience on Half.com. The other thing I love about Half.com is when I am done with the books, I can sell them on Half.com! This becomes a great recycle program!

I have got such great deals at Half.com! From textbooks to Play Station games for Christmas! I always check half before I go buy a book or game somewhere else. You can find better deals on here than even ebay!!!

Customer service is less than understanding. While selling on half.com you will quickly find out they charge an extremely steep commission of 15%. If you should accidentally list in the wrong area, they will also charge that 15% on your shipping charges. I can understand this happening, but after multiple emails and phone calls to try to clear the matter up, I came to no resolution. Their customer service just didn't seem to care. Their business model is outstanding, and until their is competition I can't imagine they will be anything but profitable, but I'd love to see a competitor. Since Ebay has taken over half.com, it has certainly sunk to new lows. This has got to be THE WORST online "store" i have ever seen.
Notice a few things:
1)Try to find some actual DIRECT contact emails for
customer service.
2)Try to find some DIRECT phone numbers for customer service....guest what...YOU CANT!!

They are the biggest joke going.
I made a simple video purchase mid october,2003, its now
December 3rd...nada..nothing....zilch.
I have contacted the seller(i use that term loosely) several times, of course no response.
I have contacted half.ebay through their initial "file complaint" form (of course you can only do this once) and
of course have recieved no response, and for weeks now, the
status reads they're "working on it," or some such crap.

HEED MY WARNING.

Do not use half.ebay...that is, unless your a masochist!

By the way, in this particular scenario the "seller" is
caria1994, steer clear of caria1994, nothing but bad news!

This is a great website if you are afraid of buying things on ebay but still want those cheap prices without sitting at your computer refreshing the page 500 times to see if you have been outbid. I would highly recommend this site if you are sick of putting up with people on ebay not sending you the item and then giving YOU negative feedback. The delivery speed fast and i did receive the items that i ordered. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is sick of people on ebay giving you unsealed games that dont work. Also this website I would highly recommend this for holiday shopping as you will receive what you want speedily.

Take E-Bay, remove the sport of the bid and most of the chances with ending up with complete garbage for your effort and you pretty much have Half.com.

I've been using Half.com for almost 3 years and I have yet to be let down by this service. Half.com simply plays the liaison between seller and buyer with set prices for items. Sellers, like on E-Bay, must disclose condition of items and any other defects that the buyer may be concerned about, sets the price and leaves it to the potential buyer to decide.

Transactions are graded by buyer/seller with a "rating" system. The rating is used by both Half.com and E-Bay to determine credibility of buyers and sellers.

I've used Half.com to purchase DVDs, electronics, educational books, all kinds of items and have had no ill experience to date. I do indeed, highly recommend Half.com!

I PAID BY CREDIT CARD FOR A VHS TAPE OF THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN AND NEVER REC' THE TAPE. CONTACTED HALF.COM AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT, AND WAIT. NOW 30 DAYS THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY AND I HAVE NOT A THING. FILED FRAUD COMPLAINT WITH HALF.COM AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT 30 MORE DAYS. The price is always good. It's called HALF DOT COM how could the prices not be good ! I got a downs feather comforter from there for $35 (estimated value $100) Awesome deal ! The order was here in less than a week had all the info. to return the merchandise and everything in the box. rec'd tracking info confirmation and everything via e-mail. I needed a book for a graduate class. Since the seller (directtoyou) said they had what I needed, and it was "ready to ship", so I ordered it. The order was placed on 9/17/2003, and here I sit - NO book, NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL FROM ANYONE! The "seller" has not responded to FOUR tries at e mailing (but how do I know if it was ever sent by half.com?) Half.com had not responded to my attempts to contact them!

This had been a repulsive experience, and believe me I will NEVER be repeating it, and I will cautioneveryone I know to avoid it as well.
