I can't say enough nice things about Habitat Futons! Their honesty and business practices put them head and shoulders above anyone I've done business with in a long, long time. They were as attentive as they were knowledgeable to my every question concerning my Tempur-Pedic mattress purchase. They didn't miss a trick in making sure that I got exactly the right mattress, for a great price, and they shipped it VERY quickly (and threw in a HUGE bonus gift just for ordering)! My order was followed up with a personal email (not just a form one telling me it had been shipped). The initial email told me when it would ship, what the process was, and what to do should I have questions, problems, etc.
Dealing with Habitat Futons is truly the best of both worlds! They have the speed, technology, efficiency, and knowledge that we all hope we'll find on the internet, but they've maintained that long ago art of making the customer feel cared for and appreciated...not just "another order to process". A HUGE rarity in today's business world!
I did my homework and have known (for years, actually) that I would, at some point, own a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Without being too lengthy I had one made for my dog 10 years ago. He is a huge Labrador and is bilaterally elbow dysplastic. After surgery (when he was just a pup) the Orthopedic Surgeon told me to always keep him on high quality, supportive bedding and to never let him jump from my bed or car onto a hard floor. He's now 10 1/2 and is still sleeping on his Tempur-Pedic mattress. He's never jumped off of my bed onto anything except his Tempur-Pedic. I truly credit Tempur-Pedic with his mobility. His elbows have been supported and cushioned all of these years and because of that, he's still going strong. Max, my Lab, is living proof that Tempur-Pedic is everything it says it is and so much more. Was it expensive bedding for a dog?? Well, not really if you consider that a high quality dog bed for a large dog will cost you roughly $100 and last for a year, if you're lucky. That amount over the span of a dog's life is going to be in the $1,200-$1,600 range if you only buy 1 a year knowing that you are not getting anything like the quality and support that I've gotten for Max. Tempur-Pedic has been the perfect answer for my dog's health and my pocket book.
Knowing what Tempur-Pedic has done for my dog, I will be thrilled if I reap even 1/2 of the benefits it's given to my beloved Max.
One word to the wise...DO NOT THINK THAT OTHER MEMORY FOAMS ARE TEMPUR-PEDIC...THEY ARE NOT!! I've tried several; up to 3", high density memory foam pads and it is not the same; it's not even close. I would strongly suggest starting with the real, the original, the best...Tempur-Pedic and purchase it from the BEST...Habitat Futons!
I am recommending Habitat Futons and Tempur-Pedic to all of my friends and I look forward to doing business with them again soon!
