Haband has been around for a long time. A few years ago they began with a web site. I have ordered through the catalog for gifts many times. This was my first time ordering from the site. I figured the products were the same so they would be good and was hoping to have as good of an experience on line as I have had off line.

What you can expect to find on the site:

The Haband on line web site store has many products to offer. The majority of it is apparel. They sell a few small pocket tools and other items of that nature. But mostly you will find wallets, purses, a small line of top quality women's clothing and a huge line of men's clothing. This makes sense considering they started out as an all men store when they first came out.

They carry pants of all sizes, khaki, jeans with stretch waste, button down shirts, tees, slacks, shoes, boots and much more in the men's line. This is why I wanted to try out the site. By mail I have always ordered gifts for a few overweight and elderly family members. It is otherwise hard to shop for them because of their size and posture. But Haband has items to fit every one. Weather it be elastic waist or extra wide leg, they have it all. The selections are top quality and well made. You can guarantee a good fit.

The prices and what I bought:

I have no complaints about the prices at all. You can get three pairs of Khaki pants for $29.00, 2 button down shirts for $19.00 and pajamas with robe for only 20.00. So imagine that I bought these seven items for $68.00. Where else can you buy 7 gifts for that price. I bought them all for my boyfriends father for his birthday.

There are certainly more then enough low priced items on the site. Belts are very cheap for real leather. That surprises me the most, because you pay 60% more else where for them then you would here on this site. I know I am sort of "up talking" the site. But you will soon see why I have chosen not to recommend it despite all of the good things about it.

Shipping:

The price of shipping is average , but if you spend over $50.00 the shipping is often free. It is a promotion that they often honor. But you should double check to make sure it is going on when you purchase from them.

As far as the actual shipping. This is where the experience went bad for me. When ever I mail ordered from Haband I got all of my items and I got them quickly. But this time ordering on line was a very different experience. I went through the check out which was very easy. But then I never got a shipping confirmation or any thing through email. I emailed them four days later. I had paid with a credit card so I figured it should have gone right through.

My experience:

The company emailed me back stating that it did go through and the items were shipped three days after I placed the order. They emailed me a tracking number. The tracking number was for Fedex. It kept saying no such shipment found. I was a little stumped about that. I know that Fedex takes a while to update new information, but there should have been at least some shipment information there by the time I had checked the package status.

About three days later I emailed to the Haband on line web site store a second time. This time they took two days to get back to me. With in those two days I had still not received my package, and there was still no record of it. I was starting to get a bit annoyed by the whole thing. When the company emailed me back this time, they said they found the problem. The box was taken back to the warehouse because the adequate postage was not paid for. The assured me that the package would arrive shortly and I would receive a coupon toward 10 percent off my next order. Fair enough right? Wrong!

My final thoughts and recommendation:
My package did not come that week, or the next. It came exactly 37 days after I ordered it using three day shipping! The coupon that they promised was not in there. Not that I would have ordered from the site again. But, I could have used it for the mail order catalog like I often do. And my final upset was that the pants were sent in the wrong size. That was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak. I called them this time and gave them a "not so nice" piece of my mind. I sent the whole order back, which ironically only took 4 days to get there. And I asked for my credit card to be credited. They did do it but it took a month for it to go back on my card.

The site was set up good and was easy to place the order with. I had no trouble finding the items that I had wanted to buy. I also had no trouble putting my credit card through and this site is secure so I felt safe in doing so. However, with having such a bad experience with the shipping and the recovery of my funds. I can not in good conscience recommend the Haband on line web site store. I have always loved the items I have purchased from Haband. But from this point on, if and when I do order, it will be through a catalog not through the on line web site.
