The HSN.com site, also known as The Home Shoppers Network on line store was a disaster for us. We ordered a bunch of items only to be delayed, put off, be rude to and more. I really had a bad experience with the HSN.com site. I felt I had to share the experience with other people in the hopes that other people will not make the same mistake in ordering that we did. I have ordered through the TV show before and never have had these kinds of problems.

What they sell:

The HSN.com site does have a great variety of items. I will give them at least that much. They have hundreds of top quality and name brand items. Electronics, home goods, decorations, holiday items, toys, clothing lines and more. They have a ton of sports items, hardware items, computers, lap tops, collectors items, cards coins, you name it they probably have it. You could shop for any age and gender on this site and find really nice items for them. But then again you never know what your going to end up with in the end.

The prices:

The prices on this site are good. I can't really complain about that. They are no more then you see on TV or any thing. You pay top dollar for the collectors items but they would be worth it if you ever got them. The prices were over all good. The shipping price was pretty average as well.

The ease of ordering:

This site is easy to order from. You have to select the items that you want. Then add them to your cart. After you are done shopping you go to the check out page. When your in the check out page you have to enter your billing information, payment information, shipping information and shipping method choice. Then you complete the order and wait a few seconds for your invoice. It is as easy as that. You can use credit cards, e-checks, HSN credit and more.

The site set up:

The site is set up good. The back round is mostly white with bold black lettering. The lettering is bold enough for me to read really well so I liked that. There are no pop ups and flashy banners which is a pretty good thing. They have a search bar for if you know what item you are interested in viewing. Or you can search through the sections and categories which are all set up rather well too. You can see large detailed photos of the items that you are interested in before you buy them I like the site set up.

The shipping:

Where do I begin? With priority shipping which is what I chose, you usually have to wait five to seven days at most for your order to arrive. Mine took three weeks. In being busy I never contacted them to see why it took so long. But when I opened the first box the lamp I had ordered was broken in tons of pieces. They put a box around it but nothing like bubble wrap to hold it securely though the shipment.

The second box contained two more damaged items, a doll with a broken face right above the eye, and a wall hanging picture that the wooden frame that was separated and the cheap staples scraped me when I took it out of the box. The third box should have had 5 other items in it, but it did not it had three. This meant that two of my items which were on the invoice for this box were missing.

What I did:

I called customer service right away and explained about the broken items first. They were fine while speaking with me and took note of the issue. They asked that I send the broken items back and that I would be reimbursed the shipping price to send the items to them. I was fine with that. It was fair enough. I then asked about the two missing items. The woman said that she would have some one contact me right back after that.

I did get the phone call about an hour later asking me to explain which items were missing, the order number and invoice number. I went ahead and gave them all the information. This woman was not as friendly as the first one was. In fact she was just plain rude. I asked her when I could expect to get my two missing items. She told me to hold off as they were not sure if they were missing or if they were delivered. I told her they were not delivered. She said I am going to check on that and hung up the phone on me.

I called again the following week after not getting my two items. The person that I spoke with said that if the items were listed on the invoice and the order number said that the package was delivered then I have gotten them already. I told her that I had not gotten them or I wouldn't be calling her. She said there is nothing I can do for you.

Not only was I out $128.00 for the two missing items, but they never did reimburse me for shipping the other items back. They sent me replacements but did not credit me the shipping. So now in total I was out over $150.00.

My thoughts and recommendations:

I feel that I was ripped off. I don't like the rude way that they dealt with the situation and how they basically called me a liar when I said the two items were missing. Then took my money for the other items shipping. That was not right and was not good for their business either because I have told every one I know what happened and I am writing this review so other people will know what I went through with the site and not bother to order from them considering they pretty much take your money and run. I don't recommend trying this site. Although shopping with them over the phone always had been fine for me the site is a whole new ball game and they are just awful.
