They got my money, did not deliver my laptop!! Purchased a $1200 laptop, expected delivery date came and went, no laptop. I contacted hpshopping, they claimed it had shipped and was received. Tracking info showed it was delivered, but i hadn't received it. FEDEX or HP was unable to provide me with a delivery signature.
HP refused to refund my money unless i filed a claim with fedex and obtained a police report. i am a customer, I AM A CUSTOMER, I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE OF FEDEX OR HP. my only obligation is to PAY for the item, and HP is obligated to deliver the item. I am in no way obligated to figure out what happened to it or do any extra work to get my laptop, or at this point a refund.
HP violated credit card merchant agreements in at least 2 ways: 1. they processed the payment before item was shipped. 2. they did not obtain a signature upon delivery.
I realise that FEDEX dropped the ball on this one, but HP has not been hepful by replacing the item or giving me a refund. HP is obligated to deliver a laptop to me, or refund my money. It is up to HP to deal with FEDEX as far as the botched delivery goes.
