Hello, I ordered a Sony camcorder in the second week of November. Two days after ordering, I received a phone call asking for my credit card information to confirm the order. At that time I was told the camcorder I ordered was on back-order and would take approximately 3 weeks to receive; however, if I upgraded my order to include a battery and charger then they could have that to my within a week. I declined on the upgrade and chose to wait the three weeks. After 3 weeks I called to find out the status of my order and was told that the order was still on back-order and would take yet another 3 to 4 weeks, with delivery possibly in January. I was then told about the upgrade again and was offered express delivery for the price of the standard shipping. I was told the battery that came with the camcorder was only good for approximately 45 minutes and the extra battery being offered in the upgrade was an NH70 which would last 4 hours. Given that this was to be a Christmas gift, I chose to pay an additional $120 for the upgrade to my package and express delivery. Upon receipt of the package I read on the Sony box that the battery that was originally included with the camcorder was good for 1hr and 45 minutes. I also received the additional generic battery which was not a NH70 but something that claims to be the equivalent along with a no-name car charger. I feel like I was taken advantage of given the holiday season. Everything on back-order except this upgraded package that has generic add-ons for more money.
