Worst online purchasing experience Ive ever had within the last ten years.

Golfsmith is one of the most unreliable, untrustworthy, unprofessional companies I’ve unfortunately had the pleasure of dealing with when ordering through their website.
I ordered a Titleist 910 Fairway wood and received a Callaway fairway wood that was at least three models older than their newest version.
I called Golfsmith and the representative was “shocked” that they had sent me the wrong club. She checked their stock and unfortunately they did not have a replacement club that they could “rush” ship me.
While speaking with her I decided to go to their site and see if I could place the same order which to my surprise showed the exact same club available and could ship as soon as the next day…
I had to laugh at the complete lack of correlation between their customer facing website and their internal stock system at least I hope that’s what it was and not a bold face lie from their Customer service representative.
I also had another order for a pair of golf shoes that was supposed to ship the day after I ordered them and a week later I hadn’t received them. I asked her if she could check that order and she showed it as still waiting to process but she could have it shipped immediately. I told her to cancel the order and that I look forward to an update on the why they shipped me the wrong club.
I never received an update by phone or email which sadly did not surprise me.
After getting off the phone with her I filed a complaint with the BBB of Texas which is where their corporate home is located. I don’t expect anything from it other than the hope that others have done the same and perhaps this will lead to some sort of action from the state of Texas or the BBB.
I will never order from them again and will be sure to warn anyone I know not to order from them in the future.
