Seriously, how do they stay in business?!
I always check reviews before buying, this time it slipped through the cracks. What a mistake, 22 days after my order, and all I have is less money in my checking account. Bad, bad and bad. That's how I rate this seller. Heed our advice and comments, shop elsewhere. |

Do not buy from this company! I received vitamins that were already out of date and was told through several emails that they would send me a new bottle. Never got it. After several more emails (they don't answer the phone), they said the product was discontinued and would issue me an immediate refund. Still waiting, it's been 6 weeks. Sent several more emails, no response. Rip off!

These people are terrible. I placed an order for 2 items. One tiny item was shipped with the full shipping cost. No sign of the second and heavier item for well over a month. After many phone calls I was reassured each time that the item was to be shipped very soon. The latest call told me the item was no longer carried after only 2 days before I was again reassured the item was to be shipped. By the way, the item is still listed on their website as available. Now I have paid full shipping cost for a $4 item.
The order takers are abrupt, bordering on rude and totally uninformed. The most recent person hung up on me. I would NEVER place an oder with Goddess Within again. |

I placed an order on 4/27/2009. It is now 5/14/09 and I still haven't received it. The information they provided on their website said it shipped on 5/1/09 - not true. They sent me an email on 5/6/09 saying it was shipped on 5/4/09 - not true. The tracking information said it went on 5/6/09. I emailed them about this, and like so many others, I received emails with no information in it. Sometimes they said exactly what I said in the emails that I sent to them. Finally, they said it was on backorder. Aren't they supposed to tell you that BEFORE you place the order? THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE SATISFIED OR NOT. DON'T SHOP THERE!! I shop online all the time and this has been the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I wish I had seen the reviews before I shopped there. I know better now.

It is my worst experience from buying something from the internet. I buy a lot of things mostly beauty products and it is the first time that something like that happen to me. I've made an oder 06-03-09 and I've still not received anything. The weird thing is that my order was something like 100euros but they charged me about 67euros, I don't understand. So like everyone here I started to send a hundred mails to understand what was going on, and they told that my order wasn't complete, that they will send me a tracking number as soon as all the items will be available... Until the moment I thinked about looking on google for information from others users that ordered from goddess within. And now I'm desperate, someone need to do something against them, I'm so upset and I understand how difficult it is for the others too. I'm just hoping that I will receive my package on day and now I will be more carefull from what website I order.

Oh, how I wish I bothered to investigate Goddess Within (www.goddess-within.com) and that I found this website before I ordered from them the hair extension. My product took forever to ship and as soon as I received it, I could tell it will not match my hair color. I returned the product on December 28, 2008 and have proof they received it on January 7, 2009. Well, as of today, April 17, 2009 I am still attempting to recover my money. Every time I contacted them, I was met with HORRIBLE, SNORKY, UNPLEASANT and DISMISSIVE service. They provide the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in years of shopping online. I have repeatedly emailed them asking them to credit my AMEX credit card. I even involved AMEX and twice their representatives conferenced in Goddess Within staff and both times they promised immediate credit. The credit never materialized. They got the product back and now they are keeping the money. That is called STEALING folks ! My advice to all of you out there who happen across this website is: DO NOT BUY from them; if you do YOU WILL SURELY REGRET IT !!!!!

I read the reviews. I knew I was taking a risk given the shipping delay horror stories. I figured for less than $50 I would take a chance. DOH!!! Sure enough, ordered on 4/30/06 now it's 5/20 and no sign of my order that was "in stock". I believe the high ratings on this sight are shills. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Let's put these shysters out of business. Good luck..

This has also been my worst online ordering experience. I ordered over $100 worth of products early this month and after a week I was told it shipped out on the ninth. I paid extra for priority shipping, so I called customer service a week later and I was told it took longer than expected to get it in, but it would be shipped out the next day. After an additional week later (3/25/09), I was just told it was shipped today and was given a UPS ground tracking number. I am not going to hold my breath this time, but just maybe...just maybe, I will find a package on my doorstep soon. I highly recommend anyone to buy from some other vendor, or make your own decision after reading the reviews.

I placed an order on February 21. Two weeks later, my purchased hasn't arrived ... or shipped. Last Friday, I sent an email inquiring about the status and asking them to cancel if it hadn't shipped. No response. Yesterday I looked online, and the order saying "pending shipping." By this point, I was skeptical, as my credit card hadn't been charged. I called, and got a message saying the number was temporary unavailable. I sent a message online asking if it was really pending shipping and requesting a cancellation of my order. No response. Today, I called again. No answer. This is ridiculous. I will never order from them again ... and only wish I had read all of these other reviews before I wasted my time ordering from these people.

This is a follow up to my previous review, today is April 28th 2009 and I still don't have my order that I placed on Feb 3rd, 2009. According to one customer service person at GW (there only seems to be two of them), all four of the products I ordered remain on back order, although as a test I went to the site and pretended to order the same products and nowhere does it say "item temporarily out of stock" or "not available". I have been forced to chargeback my credit card and on principle I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. I suggest everyone contact the BBB who is not satisfied with GWBeauty/The Goddess Within. Selected priority shipping and it took 7 business days. Customer Service email went unanswered so I called. They were pretty bad. First they said standard shipping was selected even though confirmation emails from them stated Priority with the additional cost. Then they attempted to blame Fedex even though they shipped it standard. Then they were going to refund $1. I guess it doesn't matter that they screwed up. Not surprisingly, no supervisors were available. I doubt that I will get a followup call from a supervisor.

I placed an order for my mother's birthday to realize 10 days later that it still had not been shipped. I emailed the company, called and left a voice mail, then called again a few days later. I was on hold for 30 minutes, 2nd in line, then 1st, then dropped down to 3rd again. I finally gave up, never having talked to a real person.
My mother never got her gift. I ended up canceling my credit card because this was the only way I was able to cancel this order that never was shipped. Do not order from this company. You will only be disappointed. |

I ordered haircare products, everything was in stock. Whenever I inquired as to when they would ship, I was told they were on backorder and would ship the next day. This went on for six weeks, so I cancelled the order. Three months later, they billed my credit card....and shipped items "similar" to what I had ordered. No refund, just a store credit. There were unauthorized charges on that credit card. Was it them? What do you think?

I am a serious online shopper, no Black Friday for me!
I have decided if I write a bad review and do not write good ones then this process is inaccurate. I value reviews and need them to be accurate, so must do my share. I just finished a bad review on audible.com and picked goddesswithin for my good one. I ordered some items for Christmas and all went well. I ordered Sexy Hair shampoo and conditioner for my sister. I love OPI and they have all the colors and at a good price. I wish OPI would put the spill piece back in the bottle, but that's another review! Got the items and got them on time. I wanted free shipping and it was easy to get my order up to the free shopping amount, 70 if I remember correctly, because the variety is large and I needed toothpaste and OPI I always like, so added them on with my gift items. I could have had them wrapped for free but shipping messes up gift wrap, and I was delivering this gift. But free is good if I was mailing direct! Hope this helps someone..Happy Holidays |

Well, so far it's been it's been 3 weeks and no sign of my order. I just emailed them, but after reading the reviews here I probably won't get a response. I usually read epinions or dealtime or nextag, but somehow this horrible, horrible company slipped through the cracks and I fell prey to a cheap price. I would have been better off to have purchased the hair conditioning product I ordered directly from my salon. Shame on me for trying to save a few bucks. Shame on them for being a total screw-up!

I purchased one item at $21 and the shipping cost was $7.25....(a bit over the top) ...nonetheless, the order took a lifetime to receive. I tried reaching Customer Service and each and every time the undertone of the response from different individuals was COMPLETE, UTTER ARROGANCE. Their Customer Service department is TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE. In addition, DHL (their shipping carrier( has the poorest tracking system....I tried for days to get an update and it never updated....Goddess Within tracking method sucks!!!! After more than a week I placed an order, I emailed them to see the status because I had received neither my products although I was supposed to within a couple days from the order date, nor an email from them to inform me a status, tracking number, etc. They emailed me back but without their apologies for the delay and for not informing me by email, and said that they could cancel the order if I do not want to wait any longer. I emailed back saying that I wanted long enough anyways, so I am not going to cancel the order. It's been more than 3 weeks since I placed an order. As of today I have not heard anything from them. I had a return and it took 3 months and about 18 phone calls and horrible customer service to get my money back. I never write these types of reviews, but I want to warn all potential customers to stay away from this website. Shipping lagged for WEEKS and then the products never arrived. They charged my credit card before even shipping the order, and they neglected to acknowledge the 10% discount promised on certain products. Calls to customer service were worthless as reps were not empowered and supervisors were not available. And, the rep was borderline rude at times. I was promised a call back 2 times and did not receive one. They didn't even seem to care about all the hassles they put me through. Then, I just received an email that said none of my products were available -- turns out they decided to simply cancel my order without communicating after letting me wait 3 weeks for the products. STAY AWAY! There are so many other places to buy these products that actually deliver the goods and value their customers.

I have placed a few orders with Goddess within and have not had problems with their products but their customer service is the WORST I have ever dealt with. I placed an order in May and never received an email confirmation. When I called a few weeks later, I was told there was no record of me placing an order. I then replaced the order which I received in a timely manner. Then five months later, the original order shows up out of nowhere - no email confirmation or anything warning me. It took two weeks of placing phone calls before I was ever able to talk to a real person. And forget emailing them, it takes a few weeks to get an email back if you even get one at all. When I did get an email back, I received a cookie cutter answer that had nothing to do with my question. I would rather buy these types of products at a little higher of a price from a more reputable company.

I replied to that email and still haven't received a response. Still waiting on my item to ship, not sure if I'll get it or not. Their website says they'll ship within 1-3 business days, and answer emails within 1 business day....both NOT TRUE!! Apparently I'm not the first one to have this experience, I wish I had done some research on this site before ordering. TERRIBLE customer service, not sure how they'll stay in business. They don't communicate with you, you have to harass them to get any type of response. I would avoid this company if at all possible. The prices aren't worth it if they don't ship the items.

Really wish I'd happened upon this site before ordering. Placed a $140+ order on 8/14/07. All items were supposedly in stock and their claim was that shipment would be made within 1 - 3 days. I'm still waiting for shipment. Have sent 4 email inquiries and left 3 voicemail messages (no one ever answers the phone). After my 4th email, I received a response stating the order was processing and would ship out within 24-36 hours. That was 4 days ago, and it still hasn't shipped. Order tracking is virtually worthless. Wherever this company is located, their time must be on a totally different schedule than the rest of the U.S. Spend a few more dollars and shop somewhere you know and trust. This is not the place.

I was not informed that the item I ordered was on back order until I emailed them. They gave me the date on which the item would be back in stock and would ship. I still did not receive the item. I contacted them again at which point they said it was on back order until an even later date. I then tried to call customer service but I never got someone on the phone - their system kept disconnecting me. Don't be fooled by the nice looking website. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

The items they list for sale seem to always be on back order - they do not, however, tell you this until you contact them to ask why the order you placed never shipped. I ordered 3 Nioxin products on 3 June. THEY SAY THEY DO NOT CHARGE UNTIL THEY SEND THE ORDER. On 13 June I check their tracking service, the goods are still pending delivery. I send an email asking why. They send an immediate reply saying shipping will be in 24 hours. I then get my credit card bill. They charged me on 3 June THE DAY I ORDERED!! I send another email telling them they are in breach of their terms of sale. I check the tracking service again, they have changed the order date back to 4 March and claim dispatch on 4 April. This company has somebody watching transactions very carefully and have no problems changing records to suit themselves. Why are GOOGLE and YAHOO promoting them?

Wish I'd read the recent reviews of this vendor before I placed an order with them over 2 months ago. Still have not received my order (although to their credit, I have not been charged). I have had numerous communications with them (always initiated by me; up until recently they have responded in a reasonable amount of time, but never with an acceptable resolution to my order). They said that 2 out of 3 of my items were on backorder, but the items never seem to become available by the date promised (although they are still advertised on the website). They offered to sell me different (smaller) sizes of the products, but at a way higher unit price, which was unacceptable to me. I asked them to make good on my order by selling me smaller sizes at the same price per ounce as advertised for the larger sizes I ordered, but they have so far refused to do this (and have now stopped answering my inquiries).
