Goddess Within

I have never written a review about an online retailer, but felt compelled to do so because of the bad service I have received. I apparently placed an order for some products in January, but never received an email confirmation that my order was received. I then forgot about this order until it was shipped to me 4.5 months later. I have repeatedly attempted to contact their customer service to return the items and get a refund to my credit card, but they have not responded to my phone calls or email messages. I buy goods online regularly, but have never had such a poor experience. Save yourself your money and the hassle by avoiding this retailer.

This is the worst on-line store i have ever purchased from. It took them three months to ship out my order even when their website said the product was in stock. I tried to cancel my order after the first month, but they never answered their phone. If you leave them a message about cancellation, they won't call back. Instead, they will continue with the order and ship it out when they truly have the order in stock. The only status update they emailed me was the shipment confirmation, which was three months after my order was placed. I emailed them about a refund and was told that i will be given a refund minus the 12%-20% restocking fee and shipping. This company runs their business under the websites gwbeauty.com and goddess-within.com and has an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau (http://search.bbb.org/)(Search under website) with over 30 complains. This company has multiple address, so the complains are spread out in the BBB. Do not shop here!!!

I placed an order in November. Its almost February!
The last order I placed I received 2 weeks later. This always seems to be the case with their "standard shipping"
I've tried calling and emailing but I always get an automated message and then I'm placed on hold. After 45min I finally gave up! One order was placed at the end of November. I was going to give some shampoo as a Christmas gift for Harvey Jackalsmith. I received the package 3 weeks later and the shampoo I ordered as a gift wasn't included in the box. I called immediately and they tell me the item was out of stock. That's Funny? when I placed the order online it said the item was in stock. Goddess within = Customer without = Epinons.com

I placed an order on 12/11/06 and canceled it on 1/17/07. They kept on promising delivery, but never did. Also, their phone is no longer in service. It was holiday gift for my daughter-in-law and I was embarrassed she never got it.

Ordered product. Received order confirmation. Two weeks later I called. Told one item on back-order and would ship on a specific date. I asked if they could do partial ship...no. Ship date passed. Contacted again several days after date passed and given the same ship date I had been given before. Back to the future. When I emailed to cancel order they did cancel it but no apology or please don't leave...nothing. Terrible communication, terrible customer service. Somehow I suspect I will have trouble getting the pending authorization removed from my charge card. They show a huge warehouse on web site but I suspect it is operated out of a basement.

BUYER BEWARE!

I ordered $180.84 worth of shampoo and conditioner
from this merchant

After 3 weeks of waiting, without so much as a
notification or any kind of communication from
this company, I sent an inquiry about my order.
Several hours later, I received an invoice showing that
PART of my order has shipped, with no apology nor explanation for the ridiculous delay (and their website states that there a 5-business day turn-time,) and no further information about the remainder of my order from THREE WEEKS earlier.

I cannot accept a partial order, as the products I
ordered must be used in tandem, and I do not want
to have to wait any longer for their non-existent
customer service.

I have sent three emails, all have gone unanswered even after a week, and called their "customer
service" now four times. They have never answered their phones; sometimes there is a voice mail system that they apparently ignore (no response to my message,) other times I am put on hold and then hung up on.

My only resolve has been to dispute this through my credit card company.

I placed an order at Goddess Within because they had the OPI polish colors I wanted at good prices. But, it took forever to get them, and I doubt I would have received them had I not e-mailed over ten days later to find out where my stuff was. They didn't ship the order until 13 days after I placed the order and sent an instant Paypal payment. There are plenty of other places to buy the same stuff online - shop around for a store that doesn't require you to act as their shipping department manager.

Their site said that the product I wanted was in stock. After a week, it still hadn't shipped. After numerous e-mails and phone messages, someone finally responded to say the packaging was being changed and it would be a few weeks until it was available.

I have had the same experience. Non delivery of the merchandise. I have called (they never answer the phone), and have emailed numerous times. They are now not responding to my emails. They are definitely cheating the customer.

Will never order from them again. Buyer beware!!

What a joke! They have a wide variety and APPEAR to have everything you need in stock. However, that is not so. I needed to buy four products and get them overnighted. I ordered what I needed, then paid them, and then waited. Guess what? They never came. However, two days after my order I got a sorry little e mail saying that they were out of stock. I asked for and got a complete refund. I will not order from them again. They are not reliable.

Never shop here, they cheated on me!!!
I ordered from Spain and my order was stuck in customs, a friend from the States called them but they pick up the phone every 5 days if you keep trying every minute. So she managed to talk to them and they said they would take the order back and refund my credit card. It has been a month since they told her that. She keeps on calling everyday and they don´t pick up the phone, and i don´t have my money back, so i am trying to get my money back by denouncing them to Visa International. Incredible, isn't it???

The shampoo I purchased took 3 weeks to arrive. I was told the first delay was because of a missing character in my e-mail address. When I wrote to them, they responded back within 24hrs. When I hadn't received my product 10 days later, I contacted them again. Again, they responded within 24 hrs. The package had been shipped within 24 hrs of the first contact, but was sitting in a Fed-Ex warehouse 30 miles from my home. Fed-Ex had made no attemt to contact me. I contacted Goddess-Within to let them know about this delay and when I received the product. They did follow up because Fed-Ex contacted me and assumed responsibility for the long delay.

The order was not track able as it was sent through the mail not UPS or FED EX. I would have liked to be able to track the order then I could have told you if it was on time or not.
