Worst experience we've ever had shopping online!
Ordered 2 cans of Matrix Mousse from Goddess Within on October 7th, 2007 for $33.17 with s&h. Got an email confirmation of the Order the next day. They charged our card for the order that day as well.
Waited three weeks and no shipment, so we emailed/inquired via customer support option from GW's site. Customer Support Representative Andy replied, told us the item was not in stock (actually discontinued by the manufacturer) and they were waiting for the product shipment the following week. He wasn't sure how much they'd get, but they'd TRY to fill our order. (Hmmm...... no longer being made, but product coming in next week....okay, maybe they got some from another supplier who still had some in stock.) Here's the odd part - the GW site showed our order as "Shipped (as of 10/19/2007)", but this conversation was on 10/22/2007! Oooooookay.....
Waited three more weeks (11/17/2007) and emailed GW Customer Support again. Site still showed our order as "Shipped (as of 10/19/2007), but we never got the package, notification of shipment, tracking number, ....nothing. I asked that GW cancel our order, credit our card, and in the future, show something as "out of stock" on their site if they didn't have it on hand. I said we waited six weeks and had no correspondence from them at all. I suggested that order information emails would be a nice idea - let the customer know when the item was being shipped, tracking number,...that type of thing.
We got a sarcastic email reply from JUDY - Customer Support Representative, who informed us that
1)the order was sent on 10/22/2007 (NOT 10/19/2007 as indicated at their site, so apparently Andy's information was incorrect?)
2)the box it was sent in was returned to them by the parcel service they used (she didn't say which one) torn open and empty on 11/16/2007 - the day before?, 25 days after they sent it to me! Hmmm.....
3)our credit card was already credited for the order on 11/16/2007 (the same day the torn/opened box was returned to them.) Hmmm.....
4)JUDY - I want to make sure I get her name right - further suggested that I'd already slandered her company to our friends - that "maybe I enjoy it", and that I overreacted to the problems with this order.
I told JUDY I understood the conflicting stories completely (not!),extended my wishes for a great Holiday Season to her and PROMISED JUDY I'd be sure to mention her name in my ePinions review of Goddess Within, as well as our letter to the company COO/CEO.
It was a simple order for 2 cans of Matrix Mousse placed six weeks ago,.....and not a single email was sent by GW except the order confirmation the day after we placed the order. No "out of stock" on the site, no email to show the order was delayed, no email to show the mystery shipment was sent but returned to them open and empty, no email to say they were crediting our card because the item is no longer available, no apology......just two different Customer Support stories, sarcasm, and six weeks of GW using our money without a word to us.
If we hadn't written, we STILL wouldn't know what the status of the order or our money was!
My Holiday gift to everyone is sharing this incredible "tale of wonder" to anyone considering doing business with Goddess Within.
