Thank goodness for the internet. I can warn you away from this shady operation.
This company ignored cancellation request via phone and e-mail, charged me for merchandise after receiving cancellation in writing, then shipped merchandise that did not match the order invoice and charged for items that were not included in the shipment and were not ordered. It seems that they list items as "in-stock" that they do not have on hand. If you try to cancel when you receive nothing, they scrape together something that doesn't even match your invoice, send it to you and charge you for the merchandise that you didn't even order. In my case, my packing slip actually showed that they cancelled my initial order contents an substituted in a list of the new charges for the items they "chose for me" (never approved by me). It's outrageous that they are in business. I now find myself in possession of hair products I did not order (I got the pot luck of what they decided to send me) and I have also been charged for the items. And since they won't respond to e-mails or phone calls, I have no recourse but to dispute the $$ on my credit card. They already have their money.
Here's how it all went down:
(1) Placed order for "in stock" items June 1.
(2) Two weeks later, nothing, so I tracked via online system. Items showed "pending" (not shipped) and my credit card had not yet been charged.
(3) Needed items for trip so decided to cancel order.
(4) "Customer Service" responded to me once via e-mail IGNORING my request to cancel the order and stating that the items were going to ship in a few days. Simultaneously, I got an e-mail informing me that my credit card had been charged for my CANCELED ORDER, but for a different amount than initially authorized.
(5) Repeated calls to customer service and e-mails went unanswered over a period of days.
*UPDATE* 6/22/06: I received a shipment from GWBeauty (the one they sent after I canceled my order and had explicitly told them not to ship). The shipment contained items I had not ordered AND I was charged for a shampoo pump that the shipment did not contain. They never notified me that they were going to fill my order with their own choice of replacement items. They just charged my charge card for different products they had on hand and shipped them to me.
They are absolute crooks and if you have any problem with your order they will hold your credit card information hostage and charge you regardless of what you write to them. They do not answer their #800 customer service line.
