I recently place an order online for an introductory trial offer on 12/3/07 order #2007120313361454 and was pleased with the user friendly online system. The delivery time was outstanding and the order accuracy was on point. My frustration is with the location of the delivery. When first filling out all data I decided to change the delivery location, which is what I did. For some reason it was delivered to the original address which was my home and it ruined my wife's Christmas surprise and the large box was left out in the rain for anyone in my neighborhood to see and walk off with. The box fell apart when she tried to pick it up(rain). My wife is enjoying her new coffee machine with coffee, but not as a Christmas gift.

The web site was easy to navigate and order. I received the order in the right amount of time. They have lots of products to choose from. I shipments of coffee sent monthly stopped, but later received two boxes of coffee. I called their customer service in which I had to wait a couple of minutes. They were prompt is helping to resolve it by not charging me and canceling my account at my request. They provide very good customer service and helped me with very no hassle.

coffee is okay. but it is a nightmare trying to cancel the account. They make it nearly impossible. They like to send you things like special blends for the holidays that are 40 dollars. RUN AWAY!!!!! plenty of other places to buy coffee.

Enrolled the program for coffee pods, turns out it is really hard to get a decent cup of coffee from the kafe for one machine - the machine is extremely noisy and totally incovenient as one needs to stand next to it the whole time in order to push the button every six seconds. I canceled my membership, and now I am stuck with four boxes of coffee pods. This morning while checking my credit card statement I noticed that Gevalia charged me 39 bucks for something I hadn't ordered. I then called to get clarifications and was told that as part of the program I would get an extra order of coffee - note that they did send me a postcard about the offer, if actually have to SEND THE POSTCARD BACK to them if you DON'T WANT to get the coffee. That is totally ridiculous and shows that they are trying to take advantage of the way most people read ads. If you don't want something, are you going to bother reading the entire ad? Thanks very much Gevalia for teaching me this lesson.

Excellent Customer service!
Even though I did not become a permanent customer with Gevalia, I found them to be very accommodating and friendly when I asked them for a refund and returned my coffee maker and pods. They promptly refunded my money, no hassle. They did seem genuinely concerned why I cancelled, but as soon as I explained that I simply did not have the space for it, they completely understood, and it was done. The quality and flavor of the teas and coffees were excellent. I would consider going back to Gevalia's program after I move, since they did offer me to come back when I found the space. |

My mother in law got me hooked on Gevalia coffee years ago. I'm now spoiled and been a customer off and on over 10 or so years. They're coffee is very expensive for what you get but the taste is priceless.
The customer service could be a little better but they're not too bad. |

Pros: Great coffee, the $10 coffee maker was an excellent value.
Cons: Pricey coffees The online experience was great and the coffees and maker showed up as advertised. I love the coffee, but after a while I decided another source was almost as good and much cheaper, so I cancelled the program. There was no hassle or whining and the coffee stopped immediately. Eight months later I broke the coffee maker carafe and called Gevalia to ask to buy another. The sent me a new one right away at no cost even though they knew I had cancelled. Great company! |

The Delivery for the initial order was very slow, but once they had my credit card, they were quick to charge for next shipments. I was very disappointed with the low level of customer service. Be AWARE, if things go well, no issues, but once you have a problem, THEY WILL NOT BE THERE TO HELP YOU!!!

I started writing a really long description of what happened but let me get right to the point... Their computer system makes errors - cancels orders erroneously, duplicates items on orders, customer service reps make claims to satisfy you on the phone but then you find out that they were just making it up, and their computer system seems to always be down for maintenance or upgrades (never seen an upgrade that took 3 days - that's called a problem).
I think I would signup again if I liked one of the coffee makers they offered **but would cancel immediately after receiving it. I like their coffee but I think Dnkn Dnuts is easier to purchase from and just as good. |

Received their offer in the mail. A free coffeepot with our first order. It took us about 3 months to received our coffee pot and coffee. My husband and I were SHOCKED we REALLY enjoyed the coffee!! We thought we had finally found our brand. Everytime we tried to access our account online we could NOT get in. I was calling Gevalia once a week complaining. They always told me the same thing. I'm sorry our system is down. Come on...every week?? With such poor online service the wonderful taste of their coffee had become bad. So we canceled our account and it's back to the drawing board to find a great tasting coffee with GREAT service as well.

Helpful knowledgeable coffee people can be found at the customer service 800 number. I keep the Hazelnut brewing 365. It has a mellow and rich aroma with a hinge of sweetness, as opposed to those coffees that are over-sweetened like a bag of coffee-candy. The grind is fairly fine, so you don't have to heap the spoon. I have a special spoon I use so it measures just right, my friends love this coffee. (good gift, hint hint)

If they would make and deliver coffee as well as they SPAM me, then this would be a damn good cup of coffee. Unfortunately, this coffee tastes like fishbutts. They had a good coffee a number of years ago but they have not improved their roasts as their competition has. Maybe they could use all the SPAM they send out to fuel the coffee roasters?

Did you see the offer Gevalia has- I received it last week. A stainless steel programmable coffee pot with TWO (2) lbs. of coffee AND a stainless steel scoop spoon - all for $14.95. This company is really great - coffee tastes like - to die for! The coffeepot is so pretty and classic in my kitchen and all for $14.95. How could anyone go wrong.
They also stand behind their products. We received the first shipment with the coffee pot glass shattered and they immediately sent us another asap in total - coffee and pot and all! No extra charge! Who does that nowadays!!!!!! no one I know! Their selection of coffees goes on and on and each one is better than the last - believe me I know, I've tried them all! It may sound expensive to continue the shipment of coffee every 6 weeks but if you make lousy laxative type coffee the way I do, then it's worth buying the best - GEVALIA- so that your guests do not run away from your suggestion of making coffee but welcome it with pastries to boot! Bad Company. First shipment six weeks ago was on time and superior. Called and made it clear I did not want automatic shipments billed to a credit card. They did it anyway and overdrew my account, but covered the cost of the unsolicited coffee. Have not responded to overdraft charges. Coffee maker quit yesterday. Rip off company.

I have been a faithful Gevalia kaffe drinker for over 10 years and I've tried a range of their products. All in the Gevalia line are quality items, including the tea, but for me, their traditional roast pre-ground coffee is the gold standard in the java world. My wife even agrees for me on this! I have a grinder and have ordered the whole beans from time to time, but you really can't match their fine ground coffee in its perfectly sealed golden bags. I recently tried their breakfast blend but found it to be a little strong for my palette. I have had minor problems with my shipments when I've moved, however. When they tell you it has left the warehouse, it can means a full 2 weeks before you receive your package. The best thing is simply to stock up in the winter when you drink the most coffee.

On 12/18 I ordered 4 gift baskets on-line & received an e-mail stating they'd received my order & would contact me via e-mail in case of problems. On 1/1 I e-mailed customer service after hearing that one friend hadn't received hers, because their web site does not give any tracking or status info. On 1/6 I received a letter via snail-mail stating they had problems with my credit card (for no reason known to my bank). My husband called and was told by a cust. service supervisor that a) their policy is to *only* use snail-mail to communicate problems, b) she didn't know why the e-mail said otherwise and c) she didn't know why it took 2.5 weeks to notify us of the problem. He told her that he didn't know why we would want to continue receiving their monthly coffee shipments (which we'd been getting for years) and cancelled our membership.
She didn't even apologize, but rather came across as if the info he'd given her was not true. And after she verified the accuracy she just said she'd 'look into it'. Of course, nothing can make up for my 4 friends not receiving their gifts until mid-January. |

The best tasting coffee in USA, I have been drinking Gevalia for a few years now, in Europe you can buy it at the store, here you have to get it on line, so I got it.
Gevalia website is very easy to operate, I found everything I needed in seconds, ordering and processing is very fast and official, delivery prompt and of course the gifts, who does not want them. Over all great site, highly recommended. |
