Received wrong Motherboard, called a non-toll free # and was told the that I should flash the BIOS to make the 1st Motherboard the part # they advertised on the web (BAD IDEA). Talked to sales the 2nd time and they told me just to send it back. Received store credit for wrong Motherboard they had sent me the 1st time, that I got free shipping on. Could not use store credit on line, and was charged shipping and the difference of $17 for 2nd Motherboard because of a price change too another motherboard. No discount for there mistake. Make sure U get the part # that U order!

It has been excellent except for a few problems in packaging. There have been a few times that small items have been lost through a tear or break in the container, and I could not get a response from Geeks, although I used the directed email address to address the issue. I was disappointed that the small items were just loosely dumped into the box with a much larger, much heavier object that was not packed well, and it moved around in the box, breaking it open, losing the small parts. This has happened a total of three times within the last few years. Subsequently I have avoided ordering any smaller parts along with a larger item. I just don't feel secure in ordering a mixed order. So, I have, in a way, 'fixed' this problem myself since I could not get a response by email.

I ordered PC2700 memory, but it would not work in two computers. Upon close inspection, the original label on the memory sticks shows that it is PC2100 memory. I have written to their customer support, but they want to charge me 15% restocking fee for having ordered the wrong memory. The problem is that the product was misrepresented. I sent the memory back and hopefully they will see that it is not the correct type.

my experience was excellent with Geeks.com. I only had one thing that I would consider a negative. the laptop was advertised with Microsoft XP loaded. It came loaded with robunto, but they did sent the correct software with the purchase to where I only had to download the XP software.

I have a number of computers which have small 40 gig hard drives which are hard to buy these days when buying replacement drives. I found your drives on line by searching for cheap hard drives and so was happy to see you sold them (refurbished). I live in LA and the drives arrived the next day after ordering them which was great! I have a question, how much of the stuff you promote on your site is new, and how much is refurbished? I can't tell easily from your promo.

refurbished items are expected to be checked for serviceability. This item was not serviceable. This means that the customer has to pay as more for the shipping and return and replacement as the original purchase price.
