Pros:
the clearance section! whoo-hoo!
Cons:
a pain to keep loading pages with only a few products on each one
The Bottom Line:
Garnet Hill online has a very nice clearance section that you can't find in the catalogs and good (even online) customer service.

I super-super love Garnet Hill. I love their sheet and bedding designs, their simple clothes for women and children, and their elegant shoes. The best thing about their online store is always being able to see their clearance items, which appear only meagerly in some of the catalogue issues.
I recently ordered a sheet set on clearance from GarnetHill.com, but. . . for some reason the order didn't go through. But no one told me about this, I just figured after a week of not hearing anything that it was time to call. But first, I used their LiveWire service where a customer service rep basically instant messages you about your order. And she was helpful although she said they had NO record of my order. Well, then I called and it was the same woman on the phone! Small world. Anyway, I re-ordered my order and got my package in the next week. While it was strange that my first order didn't go through, it wasn't really a big deal to re-order it. Perhaps people who fill out orders but somehow the orders don't go through should receive a special email. That would have been helpful.
The main advantage to their online store is the convenience of an online store, like, if you don't have the catalog handy. But I like being able to see what's on sale, because their sheets aren't exactly cheap.
Garnet Hill is not known for their speedy deliveries, but that's okay, I guess. I wish you had the option of choosing US postal service, like you do at Sephora.com. Also, I think their website is a tad poorly designed, like the pages of wares only will show a small picture of the product and then only show 6-9 products, and I think the number should be increased, as it's kind of a pain to keep clicking on to new pages.
It's cool though, because they have a glossary of bedding terms, which is really helpful if you want to know what
percale means, for example. The glossary is like the legend to the product description.
All in all, the webpage isn't such a big deal because they have a catalog with 99% of the same products with far superior pictures, and it's much easier to look at a catalog than a computer monitor when looking for color and bedding quality, but obviously you make that decision when choosing to shop online.
Garnet Hill has reasonably good customer service, good, innovative but classic products, and the convenience of online shopping and ordering. I don't really have too much more to say about it, other than all the bedding I've bought for the past three years has been Garnet Hill and I've been oh so pleased with the quality of the fabric and the dyes.
And the clearance section on the website is such a treat to check up on, because it's updated quite frequently. I'm just not super thrilled with the website because I just wrote a review of Sephora.com and Garnet Hill, though bedding is moderatly exciting, is just not as thrilling as giftwrapped beauty supplies and little cute samples with every order.
