Gardener's Supply allows the gardener to find unique supplies for your garden. The web site is easy to navigate, very well organized! Departments include birding composting, decorative, flower gardening, furniture, greenhouses & sheds, home & health, landscaping, organics, pest control, pots & planters, seed starting, tools, vegetable gardening and watering. The tips and info section for each department is a great resource. They have products that I can't seem to find anywhere else. Some products seem a little pricey to me, but they do have sales and clearance items, so keep checking back! Service was great, no complaints! My only criticism is that I wish more than six items could be displayed at one time on a page, as they have so many products to choose from and it takes me a while to browse an entire department.
This year I have ordered their water retention product (Terra Sorb) to help my hanging baskets survive our water restrictions. So far, so good, the soil in the baskets is not drying out. Apparently the polymer material absorbs water and makes it available to the root system of the plant in times of dry conditions. As it breaks down it is converted to fertilizer. As I was browsing the site I also found Aqua cones, plastic connectors you connect to empty soda bottles, delivering water directly to the plant via a slow drip. These are great if you have plants with high watering requirements located with plants that would otherwise be waterlogged!
