I have a terrible experience with this merchant. I ordered a Pioneer SC 55 receiver from them on December 09, 2011. They falsely advertised on their web site that it comes with one year manufacturer warranty. They call me next day and tell me that manufacturers warranty is not valid and sell me their warranty for 3 years. They promised that the product will be delivered before Christmas. I called them on December 22, and they tell me that the product has been shipped and will arrive on December 26. On December 27, I called them again and their response is that the product is out of stock and that their manager will give me a call. No call from their manager. I called them again at month's end. I talked to Sean and he tells me that he will talk to the manager. Finally sean calls me again that they dont have this product and some receivers might be coming in on January 3. No product on january 3 and I finally cancelled this order. Overall, it was a terrible waste of my time and a big hassle.

I was a bit concerned over negative on-line reviews until I realized they were from two years ago. It was the best price I could find, so I decided to take a chance.
The only unusual/objectionable part of the process was that 2 days after I had submitted the order online, I received an email informing me that I had to call to complete the order. I just found that annoying because it took more of my time and delayed the order when I was in a bit of a hurry for it.
When I called, I was offered some additional items to add to my order. I do not prefer that approach since I had not looked up any information or price comparison for them, so I did not feel I could make an informed decision. Although I think the prices were good. I did not elect to add them and the customer rep was cordial and immediately completed my order.
I would be willing to order from this site again if the situation arose.

The product arrived in good shape and works great. But I did call FumFie several times to ask questions or check on the order. EACH time the FumFie representative was very unwelcoming and showed no professionalism. When the UPS tracking showed that my order was not going to arrive by the GUARANTEED delivery date, their response was - "Well, it will be there the next day." No apologies, no customer service. Their attitude has assured that I will never shop there again.

After reading a number of bad reviews from June 11 time frame, and then better reviews in November, I still wasn't convinced that Fumfie was a legitimate seller. But what swayed my decision was that there was a real brick-and-mortar store that I could go to and yell and scream if needed and that the reviews were looking better than 6 months earlier.
So, at 11:30pm Cyber Monday, I placed my order online. Then waited, and waited. I knew from the reviews the phone call would be required. I finally got the email on Thursday to call their customer service and called on Friday. Expecting high pressure sales and the previously required shipping insurance costs, I was offered a better battery for the camera and something else, which I declined. The service rep thanked me and said I would receive the camera in 7-10 work days. It arrived in perfect, new, unopened box condition 5 workdays later. So it actually arrived ahead of schedule.
Considering their probable volume on Cyber Monday and my late order time, I think they did better than expected, based on prior reviews.
I will definitely check them out for my next camera needs. If 8-10 day delivery from ordering is sufficient, Fumfie is a place to look, especially the low prices!

They are deceptive! I am afraid of being totally frauded by their practices. I ordered a Canon HF G10 camcorder and they had me call them to verify it and I ended up purchasing a battery for it. They charged my card on Nov 28th 2011 and as of Dec 5th they have not shipped any product to me. I have called several times and they keep stalling. I called today 5 Dec to cancel and they said they had already shipped. I did not receive any UPS confirmation of the shipping which they said they would do when it shipped. So is that a lie too? The person said they would guarantee it delivery. He did not say when!! I am ready to call the fraud division of my credit card company to reverse the charges.
If I get the camera I will release the funds. |

Web purchase process is a little odd. There is no instant confirmation number or order tracking number. Instead, you wait a day or two for it to be confirmed via email. This made me a little skeptical and almost had me call my credit card company to block the transaction. They do send a separate tracking number email which is right on the money.

They will never show you the total price before or after you enter your credit details. After that they will send you an email without any pricing details. Then they will send you an email saying that they are unable to reach you and to ensure your order ships in a timely manner please contact us. When you call back the representative will try to sell extra stuff. They will charge you more (adding insurance etc) and you end up almost the same price you could get on other trustable websites. When I receive a camera there was no pricing details in the box either however they offered some free gifts in return of a good review. Somebody called me after I submitted the review on another website and said my review is not accurate and offered me extras stuff or waive insurance etc. I refused all. Their representative said I am ridicules. In Short I am not changing my review in return of anything. The good reviews you see might be in return of free gifts. This the third place I added my review to help everybody

Fumfie is unnecessarily burdensome with their two-part process, and there's no benefit to the consumer in having to call in. A subtotal, which is somewhat misrepresented as the grand total, is given on the website, and one would expect that to be it.

You order, they should you a nice total of 1574; you get a confirmation email without your order summary, you get a call from Barry, who claims you just agreed to their terms and conditions, and the actual total, with insurance and handling, is 1753.
Now, you decide if you are willing to pay 11% extra. I don't.I think such practices should be prohibited. |

After cancelling an order with another seller I spoke to a Fumfie rep and asked, "Am I going to get a call back like the last one asking me to spend more money?" He responded that Fumfie is a real camera store and that my camera would ship immediately, so I agreed. I received emails to call back days later stating that they tried to call me (no they didn't!). A week after my camera supposedly shipped, when I called, they informed me that I would have to pay $24 insurance and handling, above the advertised "free shipping in 7-10 days". I had been watching UPS trucks drive by for a week anticipating the arrival of my camera. Silly me! I will not do business with them again.
