I made the mistake of not checking out the reviews of Frames Direct before ordering - my bad.

They claimed to have the frames I needed for my girlfriend in stock - not true. 'Sabrina' at Frames Direct called and left a voicemail for me nearly a week after my order was placed. She stated that the frames I ordered were backordered. According to her it would take about three weeks for the frames to come in - she offered to cancel my order if I didn't want to wait that long and to call her back if that was what I wanted to do.

I figured that waiting an additional few weeks wasn't too bad (even though had I known they were backordered would have gone with another vendor) so let my order stay 'active'.

After waiting the requisite three weeks I called Frames Direct to check on the status and found that the order had been canceled. :-(

Definitely not good - I was connected with Sabrina who claimed that she had called me 'several times' and when I didn't return the call canceled the order. I pointed out to her that she had called only ONCE and in her message to me stated that I had only to call her back if I wanted to cancel the order.

Without apologizing for the inconvenience OR the misunderstanding she offered to re-activate the order and told me that the glasses were 'clearing Customs RIGHT NOW and we'll have them tomorrow and can have them to you next week'.

Well - today is nine days since that conversation and I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anybody that I haven't received any frames yet. I've just gotten off the phone with Sabrina at Frames Direct and she claims that they will be receiving the frames 'any day now' and there 'must have been a delay in Customs'. She's saying I should have the frames in a few days but I have a sinking feeling that this ordeal isn't over yet.

To date I have not received a single apology from Frames Direct - in fact Sabrina has a been a snot and my assumption is that her attitude is the rule rather than the exception.

I will not do business with Frames Direct again and would advise everybody to think twice before they decide to either.
