I was pretty concerned about ordering from fragrancenet after reading some of the reviews here, but a friend assured me he had had no issues, so I decided to give it a spin anyway.

I placed the order on Sunday, 9/24. I immediately got an email invoice thanking me for my order, then another three hours later saying that my order had been received. I'm not quite sure what the distinction is there, but at least they were communicating, contrary to some of the reviews I had read.

On Tuesday, 9/26, I got a third email telling me the order had been shipped, and including a UPS tracking number. As I had opted for the free ground shipping, and as the package would travel from New York to Southern California, I expected it to take about a week. When the tracking information was available in UPS' online tracking system, I saw that it was scheduled for delivery today, Monday, 10/2.

It showed up on schedule, and all is as hoped. One product arrived without its outer box, which I had expected since it was offered as unboxed. It was however wrapped in the black inner box, held closed with sellotape. The other product was fully boxed. Both items were well packed.

In short, all went very smoothly and the product appears to be as promised.

Based on my experience, ordering from Fragrancenet.com appears to be safe. My concerns appear to have been baseless.
