Although they shipped the right digital camera in a timely manner, they managed to ship the wrong battery - twice! Then a customer service rep. promised the company would reimburse me for the cost of shipping the incorrect batteries back. Thankfully I said I would not ship them back until they sent me what I had ordered initially. A month after the initial purchase was made the correct battery arrived. I then sent back the two incorrect purchases, and of course they refuse to reimburse me and wrote me an email saying "its the customers responsibility to foot the bill."

Fotoconnection is very slow to fill orders UNTIL they call you and try to tell you lies about the product(s) you ordered. The so-called sales persons try to intimidate you with 'upselling' you on products for your purchase that you do not need. (Mostly the item IS included with the product.) Furthermore, they CALL you under FALSE and MISLEADING statements then leap into their 'pitch'. In the meantime your product is NOT shipped. LAST YEAR they advertised a product as in stock, and when I ordered it they called and tried to have me add other items. When I refused they then told me the product I wanted would NOT be available until after Christmas. (I should have learned my lesson then!) PAY A BIT MORE-AND GET GREAT SERVICE FROM A RELIABLE SITE.
Because of their call they ruined a surprise gift--even after I let them know when I ordered it. These people are scum! |

I ordered my item a digital camera more than two weeks ago. Good price and free 3 day shipping. I never got a confirmation email the order was placed. I called them they said it will ship with in today and I will get a tracking # email with in 24hrs this never happened. I called 6 times with the same result I was told it shipped, it will ship tomorrow, it was shipped but was lost in transit and they will ship it again. Then the excuses started again about how it ship it will be shipping how I will get an email with a tracking # in 24 hrs. Still no product the worst experience I have ever had buying anything. i tried to buy a canon rebel from them, with all promised accessories included in the package. they also promised a delivery by thanksiving. lo and behold, by thanksgiving, i got an email saying i needed to confirm the order (now why the f didn't i get this before, when i ordered it 6 days before??). but ok. i confirm and the man on the phone promised delivery by friday. now that's a funny joke...it's now, what, sunday? so i cancel the order after reading all these horrible reviews about this company, and am just hoping to recover. horrible. don't ever (EVER) buy from them.

Yet another bait-and-switch review. They want a call to confirm your order, then review undisclosed issues with your particular order. In this case a Canon 350D and their battery was a cheap low capacity with an overnight charger, and getting the manufacturer's standard package costs +$150. Told them I could get it cheaper at B&H and they denied it, then they checked B&H's web site and still denied it, then I told him I was looking at B&H's web site and he finally said he's match their price w/ free shipping. Found B&H shipping only 10, and called back to cancel. He said could not cancel; was already processed; I said will refuse package and deny charge; he kept arguing then switched to customer service, who finally canceled the order. Never again with this vendor!

I purchased a yamaha 5850 receiver from FotoConnection, price was cheap and was delivered fast enough... But then within two weeks there was a problem with the unit so I called them to ask about the warranty. Moses told me to take it to a Yamaha service center which I did, that's when I was told at the service center that it was a grey market unit and not authorized by Yamaha, therefore NO WARRANTY... many many phone calls to Moses who always promised to call us back and never did, so with MUCH research we found an actual address for them and shipped unit back to them and had our bank reverse the credit card charges.... Now we are getting harrassing calls from blocked numbers asking us personal questions....I know it is Fotoconnection

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. They may seem nice in the beginning as they want your business. As soon as something goes wrong, they no longer exist. I return my product and still waiting for my refund. It's been 20 business days after they received the returned item. I wrote to Better Business Bureau (www.newyork.bbb.org) and I encourage others to do so as well. If you read other people's posting, their products are no GOOD! Their customer service seems non existence when the product is bad.

This is not an honest business. Camera I place order for was open and some items missing. In their web site you can find "what you find in the box" and they had taken some. I aslo pplaced order for extra battery + battery charger and they sent me a battery only! Their excuse was "some models come with demo battery and you purchased as extra the real battery" have you ever heard such lousy reasoning?! Every camera comes with a battery (except the AA ones) and a small memory card (mine should have been 32M) and warranty. The CS guys says he can trade my $20 paid battery with an unknown brand 2GB memory (search for gdsd2gb in their web site)! I can buy 8GB SDHC C6 KINGSTON in FRYS for $12.99 (check their web site 01/16/09)! I'm sure they are taking items out and reselling them for extra profit! I am extremely dissatisfied with this store. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE AND LET YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW AS WELL! |

I ordered a Panasonic Microwave and when I received it it came in a box that was old and beat up. The unit had dents and was not in new condition. When I called them and explained the situation they said to return it and they will look into the matter. They would not pay for the freight to return it. Since I paid with an American Express Card I disputed the charge. They indicated to American Express they would only credit less shipping and restocking charges. These people are not reputable and they do not know what customer service means. I will never deal with them again even if their price is half of what others are selling an item for.

Was going to order a camera and was told it was a US model, not a import. Asking about cheaper shipping was transferred to supervisor. He told me it was an import model and the US model would be $400 more. I told him that the first salesman told me it was a US model and not an import, but he had no comment. I canceled order.

Do not buy from them! they do a bait and switch with export models. When I learned of this I told them to cancel my order, yet they still processed it and I still have the headache of not getting a full refund. Even after the fact they still shipped it out after I learned they processed the order. The customer service reps are the rudest I have ever met too. They all claim to be the head supervisor if you ask to speak to someone in charge.

After searching for a Pioneer receiver online I decided to use FotoConnection because they were the only company with one in stock (RED FLAG). The day after submitting my order I received an email saying that I needed to call to continue with the order. I called and spoke with Steven H who told me everything was fine and the order would be shipped. 7 days later I called to check on the order and to my amazement it was not shipped because it was on back order. They told me that if I wait a while they will overnight it too me if and when they receive one. NO WAY!!!!!! I will shop Crutchfield or Newegg from now on.
Website still says item is INSTOCK. I did mention that to them and they said it would be updated, that was 17 days ago(RED FLAG). TVS DEPOT is the SAME COMPANY and website says INSTOCK (RED FLAG) |

I purchased a camera on-line and it took them 3 weeks to deliver it. Customer service is very poor. When you call in you are put on hold for up to 45 minutes when you do get a person they act like they are doing you a big favor just to speak with you. Pay more and buy from someone else you can trust!!

Placed an order for a Nikon D200 at their web site advertised price. Waited and waited for confirmation. Finally I called and they wanted to sell me over priced accessories. When I said I did not need them, they were suddenly out of stock and it would be three weeks before delivery. I waited three weeks and called back. They said I would have to wait a least a month, but they could sell me the same camera but with the extended warranty for $250.00 more and it would ship immediately. It's called "bait and switch". I cancelled my order.

In my opinion you need to stay away from this bunch. I ordered a Sony KDL 40s2000 TV form them and then several days later, after they told me they were shipping the TV they called and said it was a GRAY Market TV and it was out of stock. If I wanted a non gray it would be more money. First their ad does not say anything about gray market and this is just a scam.

The worst experience ever do not shop here! A business partner ordered a camcorder from this entity and tried to have it shipped to an address other than the billing address on the card. When we contacted them to arrange this the people there said we had an attitude and they were going to "teach us a lesson" and said they reported my partner's card as stolen to the police and the FBI without actually contacting the card holder.

Had a problem with my credit card which I immediately corrected by giving another card number. I called John to find out what the problem was. He kept repeating that I was "messing with him" and threatened to cancel my order. (should have let him) Very angry and unprofessional employee. I was promised faster shipping and yet the camera arrived a week later. As I might have guessed the camera was defective. I had to pay to send it back to Canon. They reported that the "optical assembly was inoperative the focus did not operate properly" Any money I might have saved was spend in shipping and my vacation pictures were all out of focus. Never again

I bought a SLR camera and a Benq HD projector from Foto Connection. Both times, what draw me was the price. The price seems low at first, but they get you to call them back and so much pressure arises and it becomes so complicated that you finally agree to add 10 to 20% to the cost just so they leave you alone and ship you the merchandise. Both times, it took more then a month to get the merchandise. I strongly advise you stay away from this vendor. I should have known better. I can't imagine needing to replace/return/exchange something with those guys. It must be a nightmare.

They do not ship their products in a responsible amount of time (over 3 weeks), then when you cancel the order (because it has not shipped), they slam the phone down on you. To top it off, the next day, they bill your credit card. Try calling to dispute it. They start accusing you of stealing. The WORST! They give Internet business a bad name. You think your buying a US camera, but they just want to sell the imports which don't have the same warranty. Then they try to up-sell you AFTER they have the credit card info. I ended up trying to order a Nikon D40 outfit for $750 and they made the order $1200. I told them no thanks, and they sent it to me anyway. I called when I got email notification that it had been shipped and was told to refuse delivery. I did. Many phone calls, many hours on hold, and much frustration later, I finally got my "refund" less their 15% restocking fee. That's $210 they charged me for THEIR mistake. I am in the process of disputing the charge on my credit card. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THEIVING, RUDE CROOKS.

Foto Connection listed a "Nikon" battery for a D70 camera, part EN-EL3 on their website. Even matched the sku number to the Nikon part. The header on this webpage http://www.fotoconnection.com/vi-4113________Nikon-EN-EL3-Lithium-.html clearly states "Nikon EN-EL3 Lithium Camera Battery" However, when received, they'd shipped an after market battery, clearly marked and packaged as a "replacement for...". A brand we'd bought and had problems with before, as it does not retain a charge enough to drive the autofocus for this camera. We paid much more than lowest price we'd found, in the attempt to get an actual Nikon battery. I'd suggest being careful. You may not get what you think you ordered. |

Do not be tricked by low advertised prices. Let me say that again, DO NOT BE TRICKED. These guys are low lifes and deserve to be shut down if not jailed for fraudulant selling practices.
I ordered a Pioneer 5080HD from them, about $100 cheaper than any other site online. When they called and I declined the warranty and all the addons they tried to sell they sent me a new bill for my order price plus $180. When I called back the low life on the other end said he 'didn't want to argue' and I had 'chosen the wrong shipping'. I was just shopping for a good deal but got a headache and 5 wasted minutes of my life on the phone with a criminal. Please don't make the same mistake. These guys are criminals and will be out of business soon, thankfully. |

I ordered a camera and battery from FotoConnection.com. When received the battery was an improper battery for the camera. They refused to take it back and as I argued with them that I would send back the camera if they would not replace the battery they proceeded to act belligerent on the phone - asking me if I was "Spiderman's brother" (hence the username I chose here; telling me if I fought the charge with AMEX that I would "be on my knees begging for forgiveness" and went as far as to call me (and I am not kidding here) a "Fa**ot". These guys are not trustworthy retailers. They are true NY scam artists - and I say that having lived in NYC for the better part of 11 years. I ask and hope that the credit card companies - AMEX, Visa, Mastercard and others to stop working them - protect your customers and yourself from these scammers.

After searching for the best price for a 50inc plasma TV, I decided to place the order with FC.
The following day I received a call from FC confirming they received the order but in which they tried to sell me several items which obviously I was not interested otherwise I would have put them in my order (cables, warranty extension, shipping insurance, etc). After a few hours I received an email asking me to confirm the order but the total cost included an additional ~$90 for shipping insurance. I called back and asked for clarification and I was told that they cannot ship without insurance so I asked to cancel the order. Still today the website let you to place an order for something they cannot deliver, My conclusion: Website has wrong information and misleads customers. Stay away from FC |

I ordered a camera online and never got a conformation by e-mail. After 3 days I called and was told it was out of stock and would ship direct for the vendor in 5 days. Ok. After 8 days I called back and was told they did not know when it was going to be in stock and did not even offer to try and find out when it would be in stock. After about 20 days I called and canceled the order, because it seemed the order was never going to be filled in a reasonable time. After reading all these bad reviews, I consider myself LUCKY! I will never do business with this company again and do recommend it. Pay a little more , feel safe and get better service its worth it , I did! This company doesn't even deserve one star. "DON'T EVEN CONSIDER ORDERING FROM HERE!!! I was stupid enough to place an order before doing any research. |

I placed my order, was sent an email asking me to confirm it, I tried 7 times to call waiting patiently on the line while their phone system failed to transfer my call. I finally spoke to a person somewhat impatiently since I'd tried so many times and was told "If you continue in that tone I'm going to hang the phone up in your face". Don't even think of using this vendor no matter how low the price is. The only thing that is low about this vendor is their manners.

These have to be the same CROOKS from Brooklyn NY who keep CHANGING their NAMES & addresses! They have a long Web History going back at least 5 years!
They insist on telephone contact, get your Credit Card Number & charge All sorts of things large & small, to mask their theft of $300-$800, if they can't add on extra items at inflated prices. They are often short-tempered and rude. I never placed a final order because of their add-ons, but lost-$600 anyway! Local NY authotities seem indifferent to out-of-state scams! |

I am in the 'These people are either buffoons or criminals camp. I placed an order and they sent the 'you must comfirm/reply' email. I immediately was suspicious. I confirmed the order and was told that in 7-10 days i would have my items. After 13 days i called them and was told that they did not have the color i wanted and they could ship a different color in 5-7 days. I said fine. They then re-sent the confirmation email but after talking with them they told me my camera was no longer in stock and offered me a different item with less power, fewer features, etc.... Talk about a bait and switch!!!

This company promised US Models with US warranties and delivers promptly "Grey Market" items. Then when you try and return the item, they charge you a 15% restocking fee. Most people return the items when they arrive and the company stays in business by getting %65.00 in restocking fee and the camera returned (my experience). When I disputed the false advertising they told me that I could not prove it. Their customer service is horrible and after contacting the NYS Attorney Generals office, I was informed that there are 100's of complaints daily for this company. STAY CLEAR AWAY!! THERE IS A REASON WHY THEY SELL SO CHEAP!! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!

First in stock (assured), then not, then shipping next day (assured), then "you ordered the Japanese model", not the USA model (confirmed from first it was American model), and it's been an unpleasant experience with the company.
Believe I will put my second digital camera buy off until after Xmas and look harder for a company with a better reputation. If I was the only one with this experience...but the more I look on the net the more I realize I am one among many. Hope you're not. Stay away. Nothing but problems, problems and more problems. Any positive reviews of this company must have come from the company itself. |

Stay Away...you get an email to call back to confirm your order. Warning this is where they get you. They promised me 2 batteries $ fillter for $99. I declined and they finally lowered the price to $49. When i got a confirmation it only listed one battery. Classic Bait and Switch. This should be reported to the better business bureau. Then i called several times and the sales rep said i will fix it. I never received an email back. I then called back and they said they were out of stock of the extra batteries which is B.S. They could not give the 2 xtra batteries & filter for the price they gave! So they will just ship me the camcorder. I asked for a confirmation email and they said there's no need to. I'm scared to find out what i'm getting and how much they will be charging me. I'm sure I'll be calling back. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this site. |

Worst experience I have ever had buying online. After purchasing a product I received a call on the following Sunday to a guy who explained to me that I had purchased the "China" model and if I wanted the USA model with the factory warranty it would cost me $30 more. I cancelled the order with him & via email & by phone with a customer service person. They sent me confirmatiom of my order the next day. The following day I was emailed the tracking # etc. I called twice and spoke to customer service who said they would stop the shipment etc. Two days later the item showed up at my door and my credit card was charged. I then put a stop on payment through my credit card company & Foto Connection wanted $50 for cancellation. BEWARE of this Co. & it's policies.
