I needed something to help my feet to walk comfortably with shoes with heels (I am Asian, and my feet is typical flat Asian feet, almost no arch, slightly I have, but almost flat). so wearing certain type of shoes like high heeled shoes are very uncomfortable, I can stand stably. I understand if it's 3-5" high heels, but I can even get injury with 1-2" high heeled shoes, even Block shaped one(not skinny heel). But wearing flat shoes a lot also not good to my feet. (causes heel sore).
Recently I found a shoes that looked really nice in a fashion catalog and was only $14.99 for clearance, but it has 3" high heels. I knew I couldn't probably walk with them, but I really liked the design, so I bought it anyway.
Just as I thought, it was too high to my feet to comfortably stand up and walk, but I didn't want to waste the shoes, so I decided to fix my problem, then I remembered that the catalog from the business that were for feet problems, I received the copy of the catalog in the last summer and kept it in the kitchen drawer, that was Footsmart's. I remembered that the catalog had lots of products to solve different feet problems such as insoles, (many kinds, some for foot odor, some for smaller feet, some for tired feet etc..). I knew that some products for flat feet were in the catalog too.
So as soon as I remembered that the store name was FootSmart, I visited their web site and checked products for flat feet people like myself, there were many actually and I chose 4-5 different products just to try(if I like any of those, I can order again) most of them at least helped my feet stay in place when used in high heeled shoes.
the best thing is many products for each feet problems available in this catalog/internet store, not just few choice like your grocery store or drug store. (I stopped by the grocery store I shop regularly before I decided to buy anything at FootSmart just in case, but they only carried several common staff for feet like insoles for tired feet or odor, and some for corns. I didn't find any flat feet solution items at the grocery store, so I decided to order at FootSmart online. Like I said earlier, I ordered 4-5 different items price each $5-$10, my order total was minimun ($40-$50) that was qualified for free shipping (I had coupon for that), so I just paid for order total, no need for shipping. But this store collect postal insurance fee(or did they call it replacement fee?I forgot, whichever the fee was the same purpose to replacement merchandise to customer if package got lost or damaged), it's like 75 cents or so(I think), they say they can replace lost/damaged items (if you pay for the fee), it sounds like they won't be responsible to the customers who does not pay for the fee when merchandise gets lost or damaged, I had never shopped with FootSmart before, not familiar to their customer service or did not know about how well (or bad)they solve problem with customers, so I just added the fee in my order total.
The wide selection of products in this store was great, but they did not send me order confirmation(that was quite unusual for online shopping) no shipment confirmation either, so I didn't know how soon my order would be arrived. I contacted the store by e-mail after 4-5 days from my order date, then they had shipped my order, (but took 2-3 days after I contacted them, so it took total 7-8 days for delivery from order date). And my order arrived in plain plastic envelope with uninsured. I mean regular mail probably balk mail. I had free shipping coupon and paid only the fee for replacement, so that was okey, but if you paid full shipping and replacement fee then get package like mine, you'll get disappointed probably.
It seems better pay the replacement fee to avoid delivery problem. (so I highly recommend you to find free shipping coupon, so you won't need to waste money for shipping, you can sign up for their promotion e-mail which send you coupon or sale event news everyday). I am not sure if I had signed up for it, but I have been receiving it daily. (probably I get the e-mail because I had shopped) it's annoying when I do not shop but maybe helpful when I need to buy something, so I've let them sending me e-mail.
It's good to shop with FootSmart for something your feet need. (especially when special something for feet is needed, you can find what exactly or at least close to what you need).
