I am very disappointed with this vendor. I ordered an in stock item and it took over 2 1/2 weeks for the order to ship! I ordered before Christmas and I still have not received my item! I order online frequently and have never experienced such a lack of communication regarding an order.
When I tried contacting Fogdog, I never heard back from them! Finally I received a shipping confirmation nearly 3 weeks after I placed my order for an IN STOCK item. Ridiculous. I will NEVER order from Fogdog again. Stay away from this terrible seller! |

I would never use this company to order from again. I have learned my lesson. I will use Dick's or someone local next time. I placed my order on 12/31 and was told it would arrive within 7 - 14 days of shipment. It is sitting with a freight company in NH. Today is 1/15 and they only deliver to VT once every 3 - 4 weeks so I have paid for an item ($750) and don't know when I might be fortunate enough to receive it. I talked with a Fogdog supervisor who couldn't have cared less. I have talked with the freight company who has the same attitude as Fogdog. If you are considering ordering anything large and you live in an area that might be considered remote, DON'T use fogdog.com because you will be in for the worst experience of your life. I would have to say I give fogdog.com both thumbs down, way down. The only thing they have going for them is their prices and after the frustration I have been through and continue to go through it certainly isn't worth it. Hind sight is 20/20 as they say.

Ordered 2 items pre Christmas. One shipped but arrived late even though I paid the expedited shipping and was assured in advance it would arrive in time. The other never shipped even though the website said it was in stock. When I finally reached a human in customer service they said they had no idea when it would be in stock and since it was also a Christmas gift I cancelled. It took numerous calls to customer service (and they hung up on me mid conversation several times) to receive a promise of a refund to my credit card. Guess what...it took a full 10 weeks for that refund to be credited to my credit card!!! I've shopped online for over 7 years now and have never had such a horrid shopping experience.

I have never in my life had a more nightmarish customer service experience than I did at fogdogsports.com. I bought an online gift certificate that didn't get to the recipient. I provided a second email address; she didn't get that. I asked them to snail mail it; they wouldn't do it. Over a period of a few weeks, I talked to them repeatedly, and kept getting put off. Finally they told me they would flat-out not mail her a gift certificate and would not give me a refund. We tried another email address and she FINALLY got it. But guess what? She couldn't use it. This sparked another round of phone calls by both me and the recipient which did not produce results. My friend finally gave up. I will never, ever, ever use them again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them again.

Rotten customer service. Ordered a pair of cleats for my son on Jan 27, 2006. As of 2/11 they had not arrived. The USPS tracking number provided by them does not work in the USPS website, but when pulled up by the link in the email it shows the package as enroute from the mail distribution center 40 miles from my home...on Feb 2nd. I called on the 11th and a human told me I should receive an email stating that my credit card was refunded the week of 2/20. I called and always got disconnected when I selected the option for a representative. If you select the option for orders, they'll tell you that they can't help you. I finally had to call my credit card company and initiate a dispute of charges through them. Emails to customer service at fogdog only result in an automated response. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL..avoid them like the plague!

Terrible. No problem making the order, but good luck if the product is shipped damaged. You can only return, they will not replace. Your credit card stays charged until this process is completed. They claim their shipping department are not set up to handle replacements of damaged goods. What a pain.

Awful. Cancelled order, no explanation, impossible to get ahold of. By the time I finally found an email form on their website, copied the exchanges I'd had with the automated email system and sent my complaints in, I got this:
Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Customer Support at www.fogdog.com. In an effort to increase the effectiveness of customer communication, we recently modified our customer support e-mail addresses, and our system is unable to accept the e-mail you sent us. Please visit our online Customer Support at www.fogdog.com/helpdesk for answers to questions about your order. If you are unable to find the answers you need, you may contact one of our Customer Service Representatives through our online e-mail form, also found in the Help Area of our website. Update: I got ahold of a real person on the phone, who claims that the email said to change the subject, and then said she could do nothing but "forward this on." Yeah, thanks. |

My wife was getting a little thick so I decided to buy her a treadmill. I was all set to buy one from Sports Authority but they wanted a ton of money to ship it. So after a few minutes I found the same one at FogDog with free shipping. I read some reviews here for them and they were kinda split but I had no problems, infact it came faster than I thought.

Online customer service form submission is responded with a undeliverable email. Shipped LadyBear golf club for MegaBear golf club. By all looks of the Oakley sunglasses I looked at, they are approximately $3 less that Oakley's site. The problem with this is that by all appearance they are Foakleys. (Fake oakleys) The glasses I looked at were supposed to be polarized "Juliet" style. The lens are way too transparent/pale/clear to be polarized, also the rubber grips are the common ripoff polished black fake rubber. Real Oakleys ALWAYS have matte black grips, not polished plastic looking grips. I am shocked and appalled that they would misrepresent such an expensive item ($330 approximately for the real thing at Oakley's site). The Foakleys are something you can get at any flea market for $5-$20 dollars. Another lesson in practicing great caution while net shopping. If it's only $3 go to the original brand site!

I ordered earbuds from Fogdog. There was nothing on the site leading one to suspect the item was not in stock. I received a backorder email, saying the item would be shipped when Fogdog received it.
It is easy to put an "not currently in stock" notice on the site. BTW, it appears that Fogdog and Dick's Sports are the same -- identical website. |

Terrible customer service.
I ordered two workout outfits as a birthday gift for a friend. I received an email from Fogdog.com a few days later and 2 of the 5 items I ordered were cancelled, no explanantion given. Turns out they were out-of-stock, fine, but I was given no opportunity to pick a different color, substitute a different item, cancel my order, or anything a REAL on-line retailer would do. After going round and round via email with customer service and basically being told that I was just s.o.l., I called customer service on the phone and was able to finally order the additional items at $2 more than my original total. For the $2 I was glad to be rid of them. Word of warning, Fogdog.com also appears to operate under many sporting good names such as Oshmans, Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority and many others. |

I was very disappointed in my shopping experience with Fogdog. They do have a nice website and great prices. The problem is they advetise items they don't have in stock. I place an order two weks ago and finaly heard today, after calling five times, that half of my order had been canceled because they did not have the items in stock. I checked their website today and it still showed these items in stock. If they don't have the merchandise then the great prices are of no use.
