After going to a few soccer practices, I realized that the shin guards my oldest was using were not going to work out. So, I hit the internet to find some more, and I tried to find her favorite color- pink. I found some pink shin guards, but the place where I was shopping did not have her size. So, after a Google search, I found that Amazon.com was selling them, but Fogdog.com was selling them through Amazon. So, I decided just to cut out the middle man of Amazon, and just order through Fogdog.com, since they participated in the Ebates program, and I could get a percentage of my purchase price back.

So, that’s how I came to know fogdog.com, because I had never heard of them before. But, they had the size and color soccer shin guards I needed, so they were now my new best friend. The site is pretty basic looking, nothing too flashy, and the basic color of the site is blue. To the left on the homepage, you’ll see clickable links to get to where you need to go. First they have the top shops:

They also have a search function, but just to see what was up with the site, I just clicked on the ‘soccer’ tab to see what was available. After clicking on soccer, there was another page with all sorts of sub categories, one of them being shin guards. But they had a lot of other stuff too- balls, cleats, socks, training aids, gloves, clothes, mouth guards- just plenty of stuff. So, I clicked on shin guards, since that was what I came for. They had 38 sets of guards to choose from, and here you could choose to sort them by price, or by brand. Since I was looking for Adidas brand shin guards, I just sorted by that brand, and then I found the ones I was looking for. I was also lucky to find the particular size I needed- extra small, which I had had a problem finding.

The shin guards were a cheap $9.99, so worked fine for me, so I added it to my cart and decided to check out. Soccer is the only sport we play at the moment, so I doubted I needed anything else, so I decided just to check out. Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

As far as shipping goes, I needed these shin guards fast- within a week. Normally when ordering things, I use the cheapest thing, but since I needed these fast, I chose the shipping that would get them here in 3-5 days, costing me $7.69, which is a little expensive, but as long as they got here on time, I didn’t mind paying more, besides, I was just glad to find the pink shin guards in the right size.

Anyway, I got an email that said my order was submitted then I got a confirmation email that same day as well. Two days later, I got an email saying my order had been shipped, along with a UPS tracking link. My order got to my house 3 business days from when I placed my order.

Overall, I would recommend this store- I had a pleasant experience and I would shop there again- but next time I will do cheaper shipping.
