When I placed an order the order was cancelled becuase they wanted a social security number. When I refused to give it to them they questioned whether the sale could go through. Pretty strange policy.

The first person I talked to offered me a $25 gift certificate for Fingerhut and I said I would wait until I got the first order before accepting further gifts. I called back and requested the express delivery instead and spoke to a different CSR who was not only rude but threatened to cancel my order for making such an request.

While making the order I called a sales rep and asked about some specifics about the product. She said I would have to call back during regular business hours and talk to a customer service rep. I told her I didn't recognize the distinction. Also, while talking to her I realized that I, in fact, had more information about their products than she did. She did not have a web connection and could not look at the website. Strange.
