I needed cork flooring and wanted to match the material I previously purchased. FastFloors had what appeared to be the same flooring from two different vendors, with one cheaper than the other. I called and asked if they were the same, the salesman said he didn't know and couldn't check because he didn't have any physical samples available - just the website photos that I was viewing. So that was no help. I asked about the "Free Shipping" offer and he told me there was a minimum purchase required.
Going back on-line, I ordered the material which showed a cheaper sale price available through a mail-in rebate. It turns out there was a minimum purchased required to get the rebate, but that information was buried in the fine print on their sale conditions page and was only linked on the product page via the sale graphic, with no link on the rebate price or the rebate conditions shown on the product page.
Once I ordered on-line, FastFloors confirmed the order but the next day emailed me that the material had to be special ordered. I was a little surprised since I had ordered some plain Jane cork flooring. What "special order" meant was my credit card was charged immediately, but the flooring did not ship for over two weeks, then took a week to be delivered. The flimsy product packaging was damaged in shipment but the flooring looks OK so far.
Bottom line, I received no help, no rebate (the min was $500, my order was $490+) and I feel chiseled. Caveat emptor and check Epinions for the most recent reviews. Echoing reviewer Saintclaire, some of the positive reviews are suspicious; most of the 4-star and 5-star reviews were written by people who have reviewed only this store.
