Very disappointing. Ordered all purple flower arrangement. Order was a few purple flowers with other colors included. FTD was supposed to deliver flowers but they called the reciepent and told them they needed to pick it up. Wrote to FTD about my first shopping experience with FTD and never even received any explanation as to why this was all wrong.

I ordered a "best" FTD Sweet Surprises Bouquet for $65.23 total. I had received a 15% discount through USAA. The picture showed a thick, square glass container with a fabric checkered ribbon, large daisies, pink roses and carnations. I sent this for a sorority function. I attended the function and was completely embarrassed by the arrangement. It was in a vase that looked like an inexpensive jar shape, had the cheap pink floral ribbon and the flowers were all very small and not at all as pictured. If I could add photos here, I could show the picture of what I thought I'd ordered and what was delivered and no further words would be necessary!! To FTD's credit, their customer service agent was very responsive and refunded my money. I begged to let me send them the photos, but was told they "believed me".
So, although I would give FTD a high grade for customer service, I would NEVER order from them again because I would not believe that what I ordered would even resemble the photo. |

FTD is a joke. They took and confirmed my order two weeks ago, took my money, sent me a receipt and then today, just before the flowers are due, they send me an email. They said the arrangement is not available. They wanted me to call them. I am in Iraq, and that is very difficult. So, I email them, and they just cancelled my order, no apology, just said that it would take 5 days for me to get my money back. I am disgusted by their lack of courtesy. A total lack of concern for my situation and unprofessional customer service about sums this company up. Stay away from them at all costs.

The website is very helpful and has nice displays. It makes it easy to pick out flowers online. Unfortunately just because an order confirmation is assigned do not assume that your flowers will actually arrive. I placed my order which had claims of same day delivery 8 days in advance of when I needed them to arrive. After having a relative wait around all day for the flowers that I hoped to surprise my mother with for her birthday, my order was never delivered. When I called customer service to find out why this was, it turns out my order was never sent to the affiliated flower shop due to the "constant busy signal" when trying to phone the shop. It would have been nice to know that my order was not going to be fulfilled instead of finding out 6 PM, long after the flowers should have been expected.

I ordered flowers on Thursday 9/24/09 to be delivered to my wife on her birthday Tuesday 9/29/09. No flowers delivered on Tuesday and still nothing on Wednesday around 2pm. I called FTD to get status update and was told that what I had ordered was out of stock. They offered to get something put together, but what good would that do since my wife's birthday had already past. I received no phone call or email to notify me that what I had ordered was not in stock and had not been delivered. Why did I have to call to find out was going on? They did give me a full refund, but that does replace the fact that they took away the joy it would have brought my wife. I will not do business with them again.

Don't purchase from FTD. I was sadly disappointed when my order through FTD for flowers for my mothers birthday did not arrive. Her birthday passed and the delight of a flower bouquet on your moms birthday was lost. FTD ( I found out later) did not even assign a flower carrier. I was not notified of any problems and the whole situation was a total disaster. I should have checked reviews on FTD before. Please don't order from them if getting flowers to your loved one is important. I am writing this e mail to save others the heartache. I wish I would have read reviews on the company before I ordered.

I ordered flowers for my mother to be delivered on Saturday or Sunday (Mother's Day weekend). It is now Tuesday and she has still not received them. I contacted FTD on Monday and they apologized and said they would be delivered today. Today came, no flowers, so I called back and they told me that they had tried to deliver twice and had left multiple messages. My mother said that they had not received the messages or any delivery attempts. FTD offered to have the flowers delivered tomorrow, but by the third day after the holiday what is the point; and if they didn't follow through I would have had to go through the whole ordeal again. I had the order cancelled and they said that they would refund my money. I was very disappointed as was my mother. What should have been a special surprise turned into an embarrassment and hurt feelings! I learned my lesson and will go back to my old florist who always delivered to her on time with no problems.

I wished I would have seen these review before I was sadly mislead with FTD.com misadvertisements! I have tried to use the TWICE! The first time the flowers were never even delivered. Even after I called and they said they would upgrade it and get them out the next day! That never happened! So I tried one more time! HUGE MISTAKE! I ordered their 50 roses with choc for my mom for Mother's Day! She received some pathetic 12 roses! They offered to have a local florist deliver another arrangement tomorrow! PLEASE FORGET THAT! I demanded a FULL refund!!! What a joke! As far as I am concerned they are false advertising! I wished this site would allow me to post pictures what she got and what she was suppose to have gotten!

Can't beat FTD prices and customer service. I had a issue with the delivery by FedEX, I called customer service and they took care of it and had flowers delivered the next day. I usually use local vendors, but I thought I would give this a try. I won't be shopping local florist anymore.

Idiotic policies. Sneaky promotions. That's FTD.com I bought 4 $25 gift certificates from american express with points, and they only allow 1 per order. I didn't buy a coupon or a discount card, or something like that. I bought a "gift certificate", basically, that means cash. A GC card with any other organization can be used as cash. Meaning, you can checkout with 2 or 3 or 100 of them to pay for your order. FTD would not budge, and would not combine 2 of my certs, even though I could have simply bought the $50 certs from AMEX. My mistake I guess. It's a shame they couldn't have made the concession to use both certs. Now they've got a non-customer for life. What's that number again... 1-800-Flowers... Here I come! |

I went online to order from FTD.com an arrangement of flowers for my Mom's 75th birthday. When the arranggment arrived, it was the saddest floral arrangment that I had ever seen! The quality of the flowers was very poor, the vase was maybe 5 inches tall, and the quantity of flowers was minimal. The arragement looked half dead! This was for a $60 arrangement and then another $20 for fees ($80 total)! I called them regarding my order and left a message as the voicemail said that they were not taking calls at this time. I called again a second time a few days later and spoke to a representative who said they would refund my money. A week and a half goes by and they still had not refunded my money. So I called again (3nd time calling) 1 week later and after speaking to 3 different customer representatives, they still refuse to do anything as they do not have me on record as calling the first two times! Ughh!! My advice is to stay clear of this company as they are not reputable! Even after caling 2 times within the 7 day period, they still would not live up to their customer satisfaction claim!

I placed an order for a next day delivery and it was never delivered. Called customer service and got a "Florist closed for today, we will check with them". 4 days later - still no flowers.
I had to call them and ask for a full refund...needless to say, the flowers were for a specific occasion and caused me a lot of embarresment. I am definitely not ordering from FTD.com ever again. |

Horrible!! Dont use them. I ordered a $60 bouquet that looked like something I bought for $5 from a roadside vender. When I complained, their response was (direct quote from their email) "Let us assure you that your experience is not typical, and that all your future orders will be filled with the special care and attention that they deserve." No offer to send a new bouquet, or refund my money. I have used proflowers many times...much better quality flowers, value and customer support.

I was very very scared after reading some of these reviews that my flowers would not be delivered. However, ftd.com actually came through for me. My flowers were delivered on Valentine's Day and my bf said that the arrangement was nice (although I did not get to see the actual arrangement). Since they outsource the flowers and the delivery, it's the luck of the draw whether or not your flowers will be delivered on time.

Be careful on what you order online. They reserve the right to change the flowers to meet delivery times, which means, if you ordered lilies they might deliver roses instead. Seems like bait and switch, but it is stated in their fine print. This happens a lot with FTD. Too often in my opinion.

I placed an order to be delivered to my wife at work as an early Valentine's day gift, and the flowers arrived dead. I called their customer service line and waited for 20 minutes, and then was told that they would refund the flowers, but they would charge me full price for the flowers to be delivered the next day. This amounts to paying full price for a dissapointed wife, and late flowers. After about an hour of the representative going back and forth with her manager (with me on hold) and coming back to me offering only 20% off a new order, the manager finally told the customer service rep to just cancel the order, and get off the phone! I was shocked. I definitely will not order from FTD again, and would not recommend them to anyone.

to cancel, Charlotte and Michele in the Centerbrook CT office first refused to cancel, then insisted on charging me a $16.99 delivery fee for a service I did not receive. This is clearly illegal activity. It does NOIT abide by the stated policy. I demand a full refund, including shipping and delivery, and I am calling my credit card company to report FTD fraudulent activity. The Epinions website does not allow for comments on these policies. I was very please with the rosemary bush and its price and ordered one for my sister. While it arrived on time, the delivery service did not even bother to attempt to deliver to door, but dropped it in front of their garage. They were home and did not go out, and yet there was no effort made to alert them - did not find it till much later. The plant died immediately. Contacted customer service, it took 2 contacts before a reply which came 4 days vs 48 hours as stated in their own policy. They declined to address the quality issue since it was outside their 7 day policy. Since this was during holidays, and I was out of country, was not able to advise them earlier. My sister felt awkward, as most gift recipients do to mention it to the person giving the gift, until I asked if they were using the rosemary for cooking. I will also state that poor product quality happened for another purchase with another flower service company and the response was in the same day I raised the problem and immediately offered to refund or replace with equivalent arrangement.

Horrible experience with FTD. With service and and shipping charges I paid about 75.00 for a pathetic tiny arrangement of flowers that did not match my expectations with regard to content or size (at whole foods I'd expect to pay maybe 25-30 dollars for something like this). The website gives an option during ordering to "select your size". I turns out this has nothing to do with size. It is only a way to scam you into paying for an upgrade that amounts to nothing. Basically, with the upgrade they change the flowers around (i.e., use different ones that are supposed to be more expensive). I actually preferred the flowers in the picture on the FTD website (see sunburst). Anyways, this paltry arrangement arrives for 75 dollars plus tax and customer service says, due to my dissatisfaction, they'll give me a 20% discount on a future purchase. I said, no thanks ... last time I'll due business with FTD.

I ordered flowers on Friday May, 11 for same day service and they never came.
I tried to call all weekend and could never get through. I finally got through on Monday evening and they were very rude and unapologetic. They promised they'd be delivered next day and never were. I called again the next day and was promised they would follow up and let me know when they were delivered. They never delivered them and never followed up. It's now been five days since I ordered and the money was taken out of my account and no flowers have been delivered. |

Ordered two flower arrangement for a wake. Both were sub-par. The invoice was almost $200. Complained to customer service, response was we deserve the right to substitute. Really, the picture was all white flowers with lillies,etc.(angel) what I received was predominately carnations and daisies, not one lily. The other order was upgraded to a deluxe, was so small was embarrassing. FTD was so sub-par, will not only never use them again, (especially because of the response,) will tell everyone I know. Used 1800 flowers a few times before, NEVER, had to email/complain to them. Learned my lesson. In today's financial climate, one would think a company would respond back to a consumer with respect and at least an apology. Was not looking for any money back. Beware.

Overall, the experience has been mixed. Selection is good but the florists they choose for delivery often do not have the items you selected and I have had experience with two botched orders. Furthermore, when you are trying to follow up on a botched order, it is hard to get delivery confirmation (none was ever emailed to me) and on and around a holiday they just refuse to confirm delivery, which can lead to disappointed relatives. I regularly order from them and have problems with deliveries in one location - multiple florists are used but a particuarly bad one is used regularly. I have twice emailed customer support asking how I can order and not have that florist used - with no response. The lack of customer service is disappointing |
