Never use FTD.com unless you like dissapointment
by puregold4, June 11, 2008

I had an awful experience with FTD.com, I tried to send flowers to my fiance while I was going away for a week to surprise her.
So a week before the delivery date, the flowers show up where we both work. Completely ruining the surprise - since the note indicated I was missing her (since I would have been away if they were delivered on the correct date). On top of that, the flowers were nothing like the ones pictured on the website at FTD. So I contact customer care, they say that they try to respond within 48 hours. It took 1 week to get a response. So they don't ask me if I want my money back or what solution would make me happy. Instead, they send the same damn flowers (which were wrong) with the same damn card all over again. I would never, ever, deal with this company again, and I wish I would have looked for opinions on them first because clearly this is a company that should be outlawed. |

Terrible - use a different service

I can't quite express how terrible the customer service was with FTD. I have used them before and had an OK (though never stellar) service. This time they are over 5 days late with a sympathy bouquet that was supposed to arrive with same day delivery two days before a memorial service. It is quite awkward considering the circumstances and I have fielded 8 different phone calls from local florists and FTD themselves regarding the order. They did not refund even a dollar from the bouquet price, only the shipping. Meanwhile every phone call I get from them it is like the first time I am talking to someone. Their coordination and relationship with local florists is terrible and it seems that they do not get along, and are not coordinated. Go somewhere else!

Deceptive prices and poor support
by rdennisc, April 25, 2008
|

|
Deceptive: in a single word the FTD website is deceptive. The delivery charges are clear, as is the price of the product, however "service fees" are not clear and are extremely high. The service fee for an $18 bouquet was $17 which didn't include delivery charges! The website also contained several broken links for key areas, namely customer service and e-mail support. The phone support was also very poor: wait times were not provided and I gave up after 20 minutes. The overall experience left a sour note that resulted in a lost sale and this negative review.

by jennyv28, February 24, 2008

Not only was my order delivered 3 days late, but was completely wrong. I ordered an all white sympathy arrangement for my mother (she had just lost her mother) which consisted of larkspur (white) and cream colored carnations. My mother received blood red roses and red tipped carnations. (have you seen a sympathy arrangement with red flowers?????) I even paid the extra for the upgraded arrangement. I was told by FTD that this was in accordance with there substitution policy, which I thoroughly read and apparently red and white are in the same color scheme??? (that's news to me). After that, I was told the florist didn't have ANY white flowers... they should have had time to order some since the arrangement was three days late anyhow. FTD did however offer me 10 percent off my next order (do they actually think I would buy from them again????) Not only was there choice of florist poor, but there customer service is absolutely terrible. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Never ever use FTD!!!!
by vanessa306, February 16, 2008
|

|
UGH I don't even know where to start. My fiance purchased flowers for me on FTD.com 2 weeks before Valentine's Day and they never arrived. He was so upset when he came home that night and found out I never received the flowers. He checked the Fed Ex website and the delivery had been rescheduled to Feb. 15th! Also, they were being shipped form Miami when we live in Boston! Why would they not use a local florist in our area? Anyway, I told him to try and cancel the order so he sent an e-mail to FTD and all he got back was an automated response that the order was already in progress. A lawyer friend told me to refuse to accept the delivery, which I did, in hopes that he would get his money back. He also filed a dispute with his credit card company which we are waiting to hear from. We will never ever use FTD again and he said he regrets not having used a local florist in the first place, but we mistakenly thought FTD contracted with local florists. Hopefully we will get our money back......

HORRIBLE Flowers Never Delivered (Not Once But Twice)
by raul_soto, February 16, 2008
|

|
My experience with FTD has been horrible. For two years in a row now, I ordered flowers to be delivered for Valentines and on both occasions they never made it. However, my credit card was still charged. Also, the second time I was using a Discovercard coupon and instead of applying the discount I was charged the full amount. I tried calling customer service and it was impossible to get through. I also sent an e-mail inquiring about my order and never received a response. After spending 20 minutes on the phone I was finally able to speak to someone and the person couldn't give me a good reason why the flowers never got delivered. After realizing they had messed up the order FTD didn't offer free flowers, discounts, or anything. They didn't even apologize. All they said "well here's your money back, thank you." I've never experienced such poor service before. I'm definitely very unsatisfied. I'm not the type of person to normally write reviews but their service has been awful. I wouldn't recommend anyone to order from FTD and will never use them myself again.

False Advertising
by kgoojha, February 16, 2008

I ordered flowers for my mother for Valentine's Day (2008). I normally would have gone to a florist but time constraints didn't allow me to do so and FTD offered same-day delivery, so I thought, "why not?"
It is now 2/15 in the late afternoon and the flowers have not yet been delivered. I have tried to call their customer service line and they are not accepting calls. I am emailing them to no avail and for some reason I cannot even track the location of my flowers. I want to cancel the order and be done with it, but once again - no access to Customer Service. This is blatant false advertising on their part if they offer a product for delivery the same day and then don't deliver. I should have stuck with 1800Flowers.com I am never going to use them again and I suggest that if you don't like being given the run around, don't use them either. |

I paid extra to ensure my order would be delivered this V-Day 2008, on 2/14/08. The flowers never arrived, the customer service live sated due to the holiday and large call volumes they would not answer the call and auto disconnected. After calling corporate headquarters to get someone on the line they aid the flower did not make it due to bad weather in Memphis TN....Weather.com stated is was 78ยบ and sunny!!! Anyways dispute all charges with your card issuing bank and force them to pay the penalties for violating Visa and MC rules.

SHIPPED LATE AND WONT ACCEPT CALLS. NEVER AGAIN
by ashleychen, February 15, 2008

my valentine flowers got delivered a whole day late. and they were practically dead without any fillings (baby breaths) pictured on their site. on the delivery box it stated to be delivered by feb 14. got it on the 15th. called the 1800# and automated msg says they are not accepting calls due to busy holiday season. also my co worker ordered flowers for a wedding from ftd.com, it arrived 3 days late after the wedding. they also called but the same automated msgs says they can not accept calls at this time. my friend only got half of the refund through small claims court. and another friend of mine who got floweres from ftd.com recieved it on time, but it was the wrong order (gift card message was to another person). All experiences with ftd.com are horrid. especially when calling reguarding an order that they messed up you can't get through them. only through a lawyer you can finally reach them. how f**ed is that?
