I placed order FMY93151 to be delivered on 2/14/09.The following Monday, my friend told me she had not received them, so I called..."Oh, we'll contact the florist and I'll call you back in a few hours!"I never heard anything back. A few days later, I checked with my friend to see if she had received the flowers, called FTD again and got a different representative who said they'd call me back in a few hours after talking to the florist.I called FOUR times over a period of two weeks. Now, 2/28/09, I FINALLY got someone to take care of it. This is a Saturday. The florist said they'd be able to deliver on the following TUESDAY, three days later!The representative said I would still be charged full price.The representative's supervisor, who I demanded to speak to, said the most they could offer for inconvenience would be a 40% discount.The representative's supervisor's manager went <sarcasm>the extra mile</sarcasm> to offer a 50% discount and a $20 gift card for a future order.
I am severely disappointed with them for:Not having more quality control with their floristsNot AUTOMATICALLY following up when the delivery date passed without a delivery confirmationPromising to call back and then completely dropping the ball and not following up--multiple times!Not even OFFERING a discount at first, and offering resistance when I asked for itOffering just a 50% discount on the order as an extremely weak apology for the terrible service.
I have ordered dozens of flowers from FTD over the years, but not wish to never use it again. If you must, make sure to follow up on your order and when you have complaints, keep going up the ranks until you find someone who is willing to do SOMETHING!
