I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentine's day to be sent to her work. We had just found out a few days before that we were expecting our first child, so I added a teddy bear that was for the new baby.
So Valentine's Day comes, and I'm waiting all day for a phone call from her to ooh and ahh over the bouquet. Nothing. I finally called her about 4 pm and asked "...did you get any delivery or anything today?" She hadn't. A little while later, almost 5 pm, I get an email from FTD informing me that the delivery would be "delayed" and the flowers wouldn't be delivered until February 15th. Obviously, no longer Valentine's Day, and defeating the purpose.
I called customer service, and they were completely unhelpful. Nobody seemed to "get" that flowers on February 15th are not the same as flowers on February 14th. The best they could do was offer me $10 off my next order. Ten dollars. After I had just ordered a $150 bouquet that they failed to deliver. Believe me, there is not going to BE a "next order."
I called American Express to dispute the charge, and even the lady at American Express said "Wow, that's awful, don't worry, we will not let them charge you for this."
I will never, ever even CONSIDER ordering from them again.
