Mother's Day was coming up fast, so I ordered an arrangement of tulips and roses on Thursday. Shipping was an additional $20 to my already $50 flower purchase (ouch), but I thought that it would be worth it to order flowers for once instead of buying them at Target. I got the flowers on time, the day before Mother's Day, but when I opened the box, I was disgusted. The stems were mostly broken, the roses had ugly black spots, and the tulips were so withered you couldn't tell WHAT they were. The greenery was just as pathetic, and there was no visible attempt at keeping them moist. I filed a complaint on the FTD customer service site, and several days later came a rather uninspired "sorry" and the phone number for their customer service phone line. I called them, waited 30-40 minutes for a HUMAN BEING to answer, but no luck. It's pretty sad when you can get a better deal at some place like Target or Wal-mart, and at a mere fraction of the price, too. I was so disappointed with this company, and come Mother's Day I had to make an emergency trip to the grocery store to buy a replacement arrangement---I was NOT going to present my mother with such horrible, puny flowers. I will not be buying from these people again, and I would advise you all to do the same.
