The never notified me, that they cannot ship the item to my work address, which is different than my billing address. OK, I understand. A policy.
However, after my phone request to ship to my home address instead, they even disregarded this. Do not bother! |

I just purchased a 61" Samsung DLP TV from electronics Expo and I was very satisfied with the experience. There was none of the bait and switch or high pressure sales tactics that are often associated with other sites that offer such low prices. I placed my order on a Sunday night and I received a shipping notification on Monday afternoon. There were some end of the line shipping delays with the freight carrier, but I blame this on the circumstances surrounding Katrina. The TV arrived in flawless condition and we are very happy with the purchase. Electronics Expo checks out well with Epinions, the BBB, and other rating sites due to a well deserved reputation. I would certainly deal with them again.

I bought a 60-inch TV from Electronics Expo about a year and a half ago on a good sale. Everything was great until about 5 months ago when the TV first developed a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen, and then died altogether about 3 months later.
I started calling "customer support" three weeks ago to make a claim on my 1-year extended warranty which is still valid, and every time I'm promised that the third-party company that handles their servicing will call me back within a day or two. I'm up to 12 calls since that first call, and I still haven't heard one word from this "EZ Way" company that I'm told about that I'm not so sure exists at this point. I'm just about at my boiling point and ready to go into the store and make a scene. Stay away. It's not worth it. Maybe you save a few hundred dollars up front, but you'll get burned in the end. |

I ordered a 60" LCD TV from here. I found the lowest price from a trusted site on Epinions and called to make sure they had it in stock. I talked to a customer service rep and told him what I wanted and to make sure they had it. He had 16 in stock and I ordered it online. I had read alot about this store and checked the BBB site before making my purchase. I live in IA so shipping a tv that big half way across the country had me a little nervous. I watched the shipping record and it showed up when it was supposed to in perfect condition.

Item (Sony DCR HC32) was advertised as "ships within 2 days", but no delivery date was given at checkout. Ordered on Dec 12. Was supposed to receive email when item was shipped. Three days later I got the email (with a tracking number). Item had actually shipped on the second day as advertised. Received item on Dec 16. Packaging was excellent, item was in perfect condition, new in box, first quality USA product. Price was the lowest including shipping (no tax charged for NY). Only wish I had received delivery date estimate at checkout... so thats why not a perfect rating. I would definitely order from this merchant again.

Unbelievable. I bought a Samsung HLR6167W. I ordered it late on a Thursday night. By lunch Friday, I had an email stating my order had been processed and was being shipped out. The following Tuesday I received a call from the shipping company to schedule delivery. My TV was delivered that Thursday less than a week after I ordered it!! It arrived in perfect condition. I will say even though I did not need the customer service department I did try calling them three different based on previous reviews. I was not able to get through. I would highly recommend.

I ordered a set of surround sound speakers (Infinity TSS740) and a Yamaha receiver (HTR-5840) from them on Monday morning. I was a little disappointed that they did not have the receiver model in stock that I selected from their web site (HTR-5730). The sales rep was friendly, helpful, and courteous, and pointed me to another model (HTR-5840) which was in stock. At first, I thought he was trying to up-sell me on the more $$ model. I indicated that I really wanted the cheaper model, so he spoke to the manager and was able to upgrade me to the 5840 for the same price. My items shipped by Wednesday and arrived Friday. No additional shipping costs - just Fedex ground. Everything was brand new and in perfect condition. I would recommend this store and would buy from them again in the future.

Terrible experience. I placed an Internet order for 14 VCRs. Webpage said "in stock, ships in 2 days". After a full week I hadn't received shipping confirmation. I tried calling them over the course of the next 2 days before I finally was able to talk to a live person. Richard claimed they had just moved to a new building. Fair enough. He pulled up my order on his screen and at first told me the order "would ship tomorrow". After I asked him several times to verify that they had sufficient quantity in stock, he then told me they wouldn't sell me that many units (14)!!! They'd only sell me one or 2. Pretty flaky, especially since the website makes no mention of limiting quantities to buyers. At the very least they should have notified me of this right after the order was placed. I've cancelled the order. Time to find a reputable vendor. I'll never waste my time with them again.

I ordered a Sony DVD recorder. Electronics Expo did not have the lowest price but they had better store reviews than some of the cheaper stores.
I received my order confirmation email that stated the next time I heard from them my order will have shipped and I would get the UPS tracking number. I never got any emails from them again. After eight days my order was still being processed. I was going to cancel it but I noticed they charged my credit card two days after I ordered the DVD recorder so I hoped it shipped. The next day Fed Ex delivered the order to my house in California. My order had free shipping so maybe things got confused when it went by Fed Ex instead of UPS? The Sony DVD recorder works great and I am very happy with it. I would buy from Electronics Expo again but they would have to have a very good price. |

Order at your own risk. I can confirm what previous reviewers wrote about the lack of Customer Service, there is none. Don't bother calling the 1-800 number, all you will do is wait for a recorded message that says send an e-mail. Send an e-mail and you will get no response. I was attracted by the low prices and placed an order for an HDTV. I immediately received an order confirmation e-mail and that was the last I heard from them. After waiting over two weeks and numerous e-mails with no response, I sent an order cancellation e-mail. I hope they got it since there was no response. I still check my credit card every few days to make sure there is no charge. DO NOT waste your time ordering from Electronics Expo. Spend a few dollars more and order from someone more reputable.

I purchased a Bose 3-2-1 system on-line from Electronics Expo because they had, by far, the best price. I was far from the perfect customer: I canceled my order then asked to reinstate it, all the while treating me better than I would have treated me. After the item had shipped (within 2 days, as promised)I decided that I wanted to get the 3-2-1 series II instead. I sent Customer Service an email asking how they wanted to handle the change. To my utter surprise, I was told that the item I ordered was out of stock and they had upgraded me to the Series II at no extra charge. That was a $300.00+ difference.
As far as I'm concerned these guys are the best and I highly recommend them to everyone. I plan to make all my electronic purchases here. |

I ordered an A/V receiver on-line. They accepted the order and charged my credit card. The next day I received an email that they could not fulfill my order. They did offer me a newer version of receiver for the same price but I don't like that one, which is why I ordered the older one in the first place. Like a lot of mail order outfits, they still advertise that my product is "in-stock" when in fact they don't have it. I hope they reverse the credit card charge!

Great experience -- ordered a Sony DVD403 camcorder on Wednesday and it arrived Friday. ElectronicsExpo's Web site is well organized, it is easy to navigate. No confirmation calls to 'verify credit card' and press you to buy accessories. Prices are great too, and very reasonable shipping rates.

Received a Yamaha HTR-5890 DOA. Called customer service received a message mailbox full. Left 3 messages for a Mrs. Devito, No call back. Called a total of 4 times. Once I reached an actual human being only to be told one second and I will transfer you before I was able to get out a full sentence. I was transfered and the call dropped. I was able to get this item repaired by a local technician/friend at my expense. Price may be cheap, but expect major problems if item comes in DOA or incorrect. DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT. BE WARNED!!.
