The generator I ordered is on back order, WHICH IS FINE, no problem, BUT Electric Generators Direct withdrew the entire purchase price (approximately $750.00) from my credit card account for something I DO NOT HAVE IN MY POSSESSION, and has NOT been shipped. I ordered and received a needed twist lock plug (about a $30.00 product w/S&H). This company HAS the right to charge my Visa Card for this product, BUT NOT FOR THE GENERATOR until the day it leaves the point of shipping out to me. I don't do business this way. I'm very disappointed Direct did this. It's NOT the way for anyone to do business.

I don't trust doing business over the internet. I am very leary about giving out my credit card number. Also the shipping company did not deliver on the day they told me. It was delayed because it was not put on the correct truck.

We have not unpacked the items yet but packaging looks OK. I had no problems placing my order. Other than the items I order was out of stock and placed on backorder, everthing went well. I have recommended this company to many of my friends and co-business contacts.

Right now I;m not sure of anything. I havn't received my generator yet, not sure when. I not sure they can answer. Its not there fault. Because it is on back order. I did have a question that they didn't answer yet. That is can I canceal my order.

Merchant rating = A Shipping/OTR Carrier rating = A Receiving Terminal Operations = D- (almost an "F") Unit arrived 19 days after order was placed/prepaid. Of those 19 days, the unit spent 14 days in various freight terminals. All excuses/no action = D- rating for receiving terminal operations/local delivery. Will think twice before paying for liftgate service, that seemed to be the LIMFAC. I could rent a liftgate truck for less. Merchant very responsive to provide assist, and "turn the screws" to get things done. Shipping carton did its job, essentially giving its life to protect the contents.

I ordered a Generac 7500 Watt generator. I also asked for lift gate service. The trucking company was not able to get to my home so I had to meet the truck on the main highway. I explained this to Electric Generators Direct and they refunded that part of my shipping fee. After making this purchase I realized that the Home Depot sells the exact same generator for $1099 ( $196 less ) -- next time I will check the big box store first!!!!

Their product was just as described, they provided helpful information on their site to enable me to choose the right generator for my home use, the shipping was outstanding, on time, they even called prior to delivery to ensure someone was home and the carrier was most helpful in unloading it. A pleasurable buying experience
